The north store....Nice, clean store. Very good meat section with very low prices. I've had their pig chops, and chicken, both were very good, moist, fresh and meaty, with great prices. I know meat, worked as a butcher for a number of years. Theirs is good stuff. Non of the "previously frozen" junk. Steaks are well-trimmed and vac-packed. Deli section is not bad, with good prices on deli salads, potato salad, chicken salad, etc. Nice selection of block and sliced cheeses, with prices below what the other box store sells them. All of the above I've purchased and eaten, it was all very good/great. Nice looking produce with a fair variety. Only downfall was not much selection of dried pastas/sauces or canned stuff. Good selection of breads and rolls, though. If you need a smaller amount of groceries and some basics, this is the place to go. I'd...
Read moreAldi was already the best grocery store to shop at if you want to walk away feeling like you've somehow stolen half of your groceries. So inexpensive, and fun rotating elements of food and decor. I purchased a LAWN MOWER at Aldi, and it still runs great. I love this place when I want to buy something like cereal, but I don't want to spend $4.50 a box. I want to spend half that. This is the antithesis of Costco, where 3 items run you $100, and instead you want 40 items for $60. It's crazy.
It is especially fantastic now that they have self-checkout! So fast and easy, and no waiting for a cashier if I only want to restock my 8 boxes of Lucky Charms; excuse me "Marshmallows & Stars", which are equally as delicious. Don't delay; grab a quarter for the cart, and go explore....
Read moreThey have cheap produce and other grocery items. What can be difficult is that stock changes frequently and so items that are not (by the stores standards) staples can change a lot. I find that when you're shopping here, if you go in with a general idea of what you want and not specifics you will do better. Also, a lot of their generic ones are pretty comparable. Merchandise changed rapidly, so if you want something grab it.
If you want bags, you'll have to pay for them. Of course you can bring in bags to use. If you don't want to do that and don't want to pay there are boxes throughout the store. Grab some of those and load up your groceries in them. Also, for carts, you need a quarter. The carts are huge! Once you return the cart, you will get your...
