Had an autostart w/drone app installed 2 weeks ago. Install went well (I thought) til we got home and tried the remote start. Worked for them at install. Didn’t work for us at home. Called and was told that if I’d bring it in, the next morning, they’d make the time to update the unit’s software again. Worked fine for a couple weeks, then yesterday it wouldn’t start at all with the app. Just an error, something about the brake pedal not allowing remote start? Called and talked to Gary (owner). I was wound pretty tight but Gary asked if my wife could stop by after she got off work, yet that day. He’d make the time to just swap the unit out completely, as we both suspected a faulty unit. It happens….. but the fact that this shop has the right attitude towards customer experienced problems and is willing to get it in and just handle it, sets them apart. I can’t say I’m overly impressed with the compustar remote start system (yet) but I’m happy that I’m dealing with professionals when such problems do arise. That’s all I can ask for. Thanks Amped Audio!……..update after 1 month - turned out to be a new software problem (from the remote start manufacturer) with our specific vehicle. A 3rd trip back, for another software update, has resolved our gremlins. Very happy with this shop and now with this remote start. Read moreMy husband has had multiple jobs done here. They always said with the numerous jobs done within 6 months if something happens they will fix it. They never said it would be a charge to fix it if it was improperly installed. That is a laborers fault not the products… also $140 for 1 hour of labor is ridiculous for a simple light fix.
His bumper was purchased and brought in for install and within 3 month it was crooked and hanging on the one side. They charged for the bumper fix.
Led lights were not functioning from the initial install. They purchased warranty replacement for lights and then charged AGAIN for replacement labor!
Communication was poor this last time and they did not disclose the charges until done. When the issues were identified no one wanted to address them in person at the shop.
After hundreds and hundreds of dollars spent on services this is disappointing to see and not have proper explanations. No longer will be receiving services there.

Read moreWe were greeted pleasantly by Brant and advised by Garry as to which speakers would work for our 1988 Buick Century. The help was always courteous and professional. Garry was very honest prior to our purchases regarding rear 6x9 speaker installation, explaining that some tweaking of the mounting brackets would be necessary. When we were having some trouble with the modification as Garry predicted, I called and spoke to Brant. He offered to do some research, talk to Garry and call back, which he did. Garry and Brant truly went above and beyond to assist us. I highly recommend Amped. Garry has over 30 years of experience in the industry. His knowledge is invaluable. If we had bought speakers online we would have likely paid more for something that wouldn’t have been best for our car system and would have become frustrated during the installation process. Knowledge like Garry’s and customer service like Brant’s is not something you can purchase online. Garry is dedicated to his business and is there more often than not which makes all the difference.
