We were passing through the area (usually Mohegan is my go-to), and found a clean, new poker room and great people all through the place. I'm told they've only been open three weeks, and yes there are still some growing pains. If you need service on a machine or hit a pay-out jackpot, there's limited staff so there can be a significant wait. The poker dealers did make some head-shaking errors (dealt a 4-card flop, dealt some face up, filled the chip trays with 150 dollar chips - comical to watch at times), but really, you know it's just the newness and they're trying REALLY hard to please everybody. On a positive, Brooke was exceptional. She was everywhere - serving drinks in the poker room, seating us for dinner, checking on everyone almost like there was three of her - crazy good. Speaking of food, the poker players raved about the lobster roll, so we had to try it and they weren't wrong - it's packed and a must-do. We sampled the menu and it was all very good, hot, fast. My wife reports that the machines did seem a little hard to hit, but then she smashed one so hard it's going on their website, so we can't complain there. Overall it was a really great experience, if you go in with the attitude that they're still working out the kinks. Speaking of which, bring a jacket for the poker room - they haven't quite figured out how to stop the wind from the...
Read moreLooks great inside, smoking room is small, grand opening and they didn't have food available just $15 salads, tons of games down had a voucher eaten by a machine screens already not working on some of the machines. Cash advanced locked on the 1 ATM that wasn't already down and not working. Payout % terrible just like the rest of NH "casinos". Small selection of drinks. No kiosks for player cards causing big lines at player service. Watched long wait times for hand pays seems to be typical at the NH casinos but it's new staff so can give a bit of a break on that. Staff was friendly. Couple of hidden easter eggs from the old mall was neat. Carpet from the main floor to the bar is a tripping hazard watched 2 people trip terrible placement. Had to remind bartender 3 times for the limited menu and a drink. It wasn't a terrible experience but it was a bad grand opening the only one you get as a business and it was was a GRAND miss. UPDATE: Went again when the full menu was available tried the burgers, they were good and consistent when ordered medium, fries were okay not bad and the service was good. Machines seemed be on a...
Read moreMy husband and I went last Saturday evening. We sat at the bar which was about 3/4 full. The dining room was pretty empty. It took the bartender Jordon more than 10 minutes to even acknowledge us. While sitting there enjoying my drink, I literally had to get the attention of the bartender to let her know that she has a line of people waiting for a drink. At that time the people in the line looked at me and thanked me. Keep in mind that there was two bartenders on during that time and manager came in at times. The bartender Jordon also never looked up and asked if we wanted anything else or an additional drink.Upon trying to get the check was ridiculous. Once we got her attention and received our check.. she came back about 10 minutes later and grabbed our neighbors check and forgot all about us. Until other 10 min later. Definitely not a people person and oblivious to her customers needs. We were very disappointed. Due to this, we didn’t even order dinner. The drinks were good and the...
