I would rate as a one star, but the female who works is the store is really kind so that’s the only reason why (I do feel so bad for her) our first impression of the place was, there was no crates all over the floor of discarded miscellaneous games. It was a mess. Nothing was organized. I was appalled because not only do I have OCD but games of such nostalgic worth, and value should not be just sitting and lying on the floor, that’s the first issue with the place but I go because of how many nice games there were old retro consoles in the box good prices and it was very intriguing. They had a better selection than most places so I gave it a chance. But I wish I didn’t. when we were speaking to the female before her husband or boyfriend, whatever he is, the owner of the place, came down the environment, and atmosphere was very happy and then the moment he walked in the door or should I say limp in the door the total change of the environment, the vibe everything he was very miserable. He was very negative. The male who runs the place IS VERY VERY CHEAP who looks like a registered PO and I hate to say that about someone but he does. Is extremely condescending and rude not sure if he’s on the spectrum or something, but he has no social cues whatsoever extremely rude when giving a price or answering a question. He told me that my mini computer was a flea market item. He commented on a box of games I brought in and said it was the five dollar box. His comments are rude, nasty and not needed. I would not want him around my child buying a game. His comments are not needed. He should really learn how to do customer service. They could really make up a jackpot living off of that place if he just had a better attitude, he actually made me and my wife wanna open up a store because of how bad his negotiation And how bad he is being a retro game seller . If you wanna buy a game boy in the box cheap or something cool I would do that here but don’t sell your games or anything. Anything that you love to these people they’re just looking to make a quick book and the female has no say in anything, the guy controls everything. Also asked if I was interested in a job I said I was I left my number never called me back very disorganized and they wanted to pay me under the table so not...
Read moreHate to do it, but this shop made my experience with vintage games absolutely sour. I reached out to the owner about a collectible console, we made a deal and he confirmed payment. He told me he would ship it the same day and he didn’t. He then said that his usps account isn’t working and it will be shipped the next morning. Well the next day comes, no answer until the afternoon and he says that he has to cancel the order because he promised the console to someone else. I was already extremely disappointed, but hey.. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt. I then proceeded to STILL want to do business even after the punch to the chest and I requested more info on the other consoles he had. Instead he leaves me on read for DAYS. This has been the most AWFUL experience for purchasing ANYTHING I have ever had. If you’re going to burn a customer on a collectible purchase they already did, at least have the decency to have some sort of sympathy or better yet , customer service.. I kept reaching out to see if he can send me his inventory on what he has for days , instead I was just ignored. Absolutely...
Read moreEdit: To anyone who complains because the price of games are 1-3 dollars above eBay prices, relax! It's justified to spend a few dollars more for the convenience of getting a game in hand, and knowing what the condition is, AND having a place to return it to if it doesn't work. (End Edit)----I put a N64 on my Christmas wish list to my mother inlaw, along with the address to this store. I didn't think she'd get it because she knows nothing about gaming. I'm writing this review because she did go to the store to get me a N64, and she had nothing but positive things to say about how helpful Steve was. She said he didn't make her feel inferior, and helped her make sure I got the right cables and controllers. He also threw in a Mickey racing game because she mentioned that I had a 5 year old son who loves Mickey. Great place! I'll be going back to pick up some...
