I walked in and asked if they take walk ins, in a seemingly busy part of a Saturday and to my surprise a human that appeared to be male called me over and said to site down.

He asked me what I wanted and after I told him he cut my hair almost to what I asked for. I asked for a zero no fade and to cut the tail off of my pompadour but to leave the pompadour long and to clean up my sides because I have been cutting my own hair and I was hoping to get it looking more clean.

I told him that I’m looking for a permanent barber and I like the look of this place. I’m not sure if I was rude or just rubbed this guy the wrong way because he was dead silent other then when I spoke to break the awkwardness I was feeling and he didn’t clean up my wavy self cut pompadour and I got a fade.

I won’t be coming back for the reasons I stated above and I won’t recommend others this spot.

I feel I was respectful and even tipped the guy well. Not sure why I got a weird experience and not the hair cut...

I recently moved to the Rocklin area and haven’t found anyone I’m comfortable with to get my hair done with ..that is until Mike started at Vinyl Rock! I have never been to a barber shop before to get my hair cut or colored so it was a new experience for me and I’m glad they also offer services for longer hair. The shop alone is set up pretty cool, going with the whole music/venue vibes. The guitar necks as door handles for the entrance is a nice touch! I’ve since taken my son and daughter to Mike as well for haircuts. He’s really good with kids and doesn’t mind it taking a bit longer with fidgeting kids who cannot sit still. Mike is really friendly, attentive and always does his best to set my mind at ease with all my hair concerns. I highly recommend Mike for all your family’s hair needs!

The girl chopped up my grandson’s hair. Worst cut, I have ever seen. She made him look like a chicken. Like a Mohawk style , but it didn’t fit his head. She was supposed to trim it up, but instead she trimmed it really short on the sides, like she was doing abuzz cut. It sticks out all over, so if he doesn’t put gel in it-well you get the picture. I saw the other barbers doing nice cuts,but apparently she has no clue. I will not be taking him back there. And if you don’t have an appointment-forget about getting any decent haircut. They are not that accommodating or friendly…….well could not locate how to reply-although, thank you for the offer of another haircut, but until his hair grows out-there’s no style available, except a buzz cut.,I don’t know the girl’s name, but it was last Saturday at noon time.
