In my ongoing attempt to post this everywhere:
Made a good night better - might for you as well...?
I hope you find this helpful, but it will be more gushing than review, 'cause it was blissful; read on for details. No wait, simple answer, as you can tell, is that the review itself is thumbs up - read on if you're the sort that wants details, starting with: This began with me yet again doing what I've found myself doing a lot lately, indulging in most every whim in a clear attempt to hold some vestige of youth as I begin my 54th trip around the sun. Tonight was video games. Golfland Arcade freakin' Mania, 8p till midnight...
I'm on my way home, thanking God for giving someone the foresight to play "Lovin', Touchin' Squeezin'" just to solidify the concept that, yeah, I'm 20 and driving home, and there's nothing wrong with me in fact being 53 and on my way home from the arcade and just to prove it, I'll get me some rich decadence along the way! So there.
Decision made: #dutchbros #dutchbrosrocklin I chose the drive thru, for the first time ever, as I explained when it became clear that my lack of experience with their drive thru was taking every last bit of everyone's time, and I kept feeling uncomfortable and looking in my rear view and feeling like I should pull around somewhere out of normal human people's way. The guy at the window laughed that off and proceeded to ask about my night, chat about games we had played, read my mind in order to discern my order, and I was there for like seven minutes. Also known as 'forever' in millennial-speak (oops, don't make this political, Byron... ;-)
Aaannyway, window guy was Kevin, the asst mgr and all along the poor barista had to have done all the work since Kevin patiently stood there and helped me choose and acquiesced to my whimsical additions whilst aforementioned anonymous artisan crafted said beverage. It turned out to be a Ba-Nay-Nay. It started with me asking for something cool, frosty, chocolatey and delicious. Like I said earlier, he read my mind...
The length of time this took, and the casual ease with which all involved accepted same, leads me to believe that this must be commonplace here because the couple in the vehicle behind me paid no attention to the fact that they were waiting so long during Kevin's explanation of both their reward card for return customers and their social media participation, hence, I was happily compelled to post this review.
I don't post reviews here often. Or anywhere, really. Well, almost at all. Okay, so this is my first, but - I've been on this site for years, and I'm finally saying something, and I'm gonna share it other places too, and I think that all that is already saying a lot.
The stop here made my night, pure and simple. An already pretty bitchin' night got even bitchin'-er just by being here. Plus, I even got a special bonus, just (I think, anyway,) because I've been a customer but never been given a card (a fact which I'm certain has been due to oversights or whatever.)
And as I drove away just remarkably satisfied, I realized that I had truly wished that I had purchased a beverage for the people behind me. So be aware, in the next couple of weeks, someone is getting a surprise beverage prepaid on some future visit there. Because of Kevin and a magical, unnamed barista - and because of what it says on the bottom of the card...
"Wear a cheerful countenance at all times and give every living creature you meet a smile." Lofty aspiration. Difficult to attain, yet what more worthy goal? And if we at least try to work towards having attitudes like that, maybe the inspiration spreads...
With all thanks, for all of the above and more, to the terrific crew that was there tonight 6/14/17, just before midnight. Feel free to use this any way you see fit if it will help to spread the word even more (although I know that others in the area already know about this place,) and/or if it will help with employee excellence awards or programs thru Dutch Bros - you are both certainly worthy of those, if I'm asked;...
Read moreSo I’m not the type of Karen who has ONE bad experience somewhere & runs to their computer to complain. However, this is now the FOURTH time (in a row) that this DB has made the same mistake. At this point I feel the need to say something in hopes the manager sees it & talks to their employees to fix this reoccurring issue. Every time I come to DB I order the same thing (Large iced americano or Large vanilla protein latte - always a large). Every single time I have ordered a Large - they give me a medium drink. 2 of the 4 times I was still charged for a large. The first 2 times this happened I didn’t say anything - mistakes happen, not the end of the world. The 3rd time in a row this happened I said something & they wanted me to go back through the line & reorder instead of just fixing my drink at the window. I was on my way to work & didn’t have time for that so i just accepted the medium drink (even though i paid for a large). Finally, today, after paying $6 & some change for a Large drink & being handed another medium (4th time IN A ROW) I handed it back & said I ordered a large. The girl tried to lie & say I only paid for a medium. I told her no, I paid almost $7 for a large but if you want I’ll still pay the difference but can I please have a large made for me (caffeine addict here). I was polite about it bc I don’t think it’s her fault but the fault of the person who took my order in line. I then watched as she poured my medium drink into a large container, added a ton more ice and a splash of milk. She didn’t remake my drink the right way. She basically just watered down my medium drink. After coming here 4x in a row this month & having my order taken incorrectly - then my drink watered down when I spoke up - I’m not coming to this location anymore. Manager/shift lead: please talk to your employees about attention to detail & getting orders correctly / correctly...
Read moreI love Dutch Bros! They have the best coffee around. The lemonade is also very good! The price different for drinks is also night and day compared to other places. You just can’t beat it. Also the sizes are obviously bigger than their competitors. A medium here is for sure a large at other places.
The customer service here is always above and beyond. Everyone is so friendly and always willing to help with any questions you have or give out suggestions. Everyone that works here really seems to love their job. What a great atmosphere.
Another thing that I really like about Dutch Bros is that they always seem to give back and help the community or things that happen nearby. Like the recent fires for example. You don’t see many companies out there so willing to give a lending hand. Definitely one of my top reasons for supporting this company.
Needless to say I will be...
