Jasmine Donuts — Restaurant in Rocklin

I went out of my way to come here last week because of all the rave reviews. I was very disappointed with the result and quality of their donuts.

I ordered a couple glaze donuts, very simple, right? The bottom part wasn’t glazed? The donuts tasted like they were cooked in the old oil. Maybe it was me , but doubt it.

I also ordered two maple bars with custard inside for my wife.

The nice you lady took two bars in the back and then came back to what I thought was a long time.

When I got home, my wife bit into the maple bar and it slid apart ? They cut the maple bar in half and slathered a small bit of custard in between the two slices as if you were putting mayonnaise on a sandwich!?!? What? They were horrible.

“Normal” donut shops fill thier donuts by pushing in a tube to fill them with thier fillings, not this place.

Such good donuts! If this rating were based on only taste, they would get a 3 out of 3. The reason I’m taking off some stars is that the employees and customers are not encouraging social distancing or being respectful of those who want to. Employees are actually encouraging people to come up to the counter where there is only a foot of space in between you and other customers. Being pregnant, I didn’t feel comfortable doing that and got a weird look from the employee. The employee who helped us didn’t even change his gloves when handling our debit card and touching our donuts, which is gross even pre-COVID. A customer also came in without a mask. Could of been better went in on a Sunday moring around 10am and they were out of everything. The gentleman men working seemed new but he was talking to the guests as they walked in. But the young lady was so flustered that she kept saying it's going to be a few minutes and she didn't know what was going to coming out.. I get it you are close to running out of food and you start more in hopes it could be done before another rush. But it dont always work out that way. Take a breath, tell everyone that things will be coming out and just breath the more you talk to your guests the better they will understand and it works out.. but the doughnuts I had...
