Viking Lanes — Local services in Rockton Township

Not only did the ball take forever to get back to us after we knocked pins down but the lady at the front was extremely rude. My friends and I walked in and had to be greeted by a frown and a sigh. I don’t know her name but she was much older. There were a total of five of us and my friend had a card that gave us a free game for five people. The only thing we had to pay for were my friends shoes which were $3.25 because the rest of us brought are own. She ended up overcharging us not reading the card or listening when my friend had told her it was a free game for FIVE people. We were on a timed schedule and were confused since she didn’t say more than five words to us. We finished our game and figured out why it was so expensive. She had overcharged us. We went back up to the desk and told her that we thought she hadn’t overcharged us and explained why. She was so unfriendly it was hard not to be upset. She got back out the card and realized her mistake. When realizing the mistake, you would expect an apology but instead she said “you should have told me before.” Which we did. Not only did she not listen to us but she didnt do her job and double check the card either in the first place. After realizing her mistake, she looked us until I spoke up and asked for our money back. She gave us our money back still with an attitude. We left right after and was irritated that an employee had tried to place the blame on us instead of accepting her mistake and fixing it. She was nasty and mean. As of date of posting, Google maps hours indicate Viking lanes is open till midnight on Saturdays. However, unknown to my group, they close at 11pm. When we arrived, the people at the counter made no indication that they would be closing soon. Thinking we had an hour longer than we did, we bought 2 games for the 8 of us. Even though we tried to sprint through the second game, we weren't able to finish before 11. The second game wasn't fun. The threat of being kicked out made sure of that. We feel scammed out of our money. We asked for our second game, or at least some portion, to be refunded, but got blown off by the people behind the counter. Their discussion as we walked away was about how they'd been there all day and wanted to leave. That's valid, I like to leave my job too. However, I don't make a habit out of tricking and ignoring my customers. We paid to play two games, we played one and a half, and the half game was rushed to the point of no fun. I...
