The Grand Theatre of Rocky Ford — Local services in Rocky Ford

Loved going to this little theater. Volunteer run, open only on the weekends, only one movie a week is shown. It's nice and friendly, you walk in, tell the person at the front how many people you are paying for, if you want popcorn and soda, and then grab your refreshments and walk right in. My wife and I saw the guardians of the Galaxy 3 movie here with popcorn and a soda for less than $20 total and you'll be hard pressed to find a better deal than that. This is one of the best theaters that I’ve ever watched a film. The prices are inexpensive, the sound is great, and even the perspective is perfect. They don’t build them like this any more! You can tell the architects were not thinking of selling tickets but ensuring an enjoyable viewing experience for all. The outdoor sign is iconic and the interior art echos the mood of the valley. For being a small town theater that is community supported, the Grand Theatre does a great job. Keeps the prices and drinks affordable for people to stay home for movies rather than having to drive clear to Pueblo. Has started doing 3D movies as well. I just recently spent $10 for a 3D movie in Pueblo. That doesn't even count drinks and such. I could go to two movies at the Grand for one...
