If you need to get anything worked on, engine parts or rental equipment, they have been great with all of that, no complaints. Ace however, is a total joke. I get more upset every time I go in there. They're usually out of stock of the most common sizes of everything. The prices for everything but chicken food are totally outrageous. Take the time to compare anything at all besides hardware. I tried to exchange some gate bolts and they wouldn't even consider it because the ones being returned "were dirty and the sticker tag came off." I got the wrong size, so $15 down the drain. They couldn't care less. I asked them if if I could scrub them off bring them back and return them.. no way. They're no longer shiny enough. Like I said, couldn't care less. Literally the only difference. I asked to use their garden hose once, they had to ask five different people for permission. Good grief. That's just how they always are there. Good luck getting any help there or getting checked out quick, it seems like they just talk to their friends for a living, nothing else matters. This is why these little businesses go out and all we have is Big box left. Don't waste a trip and frustration going here. Go to Lowe's once, and get what you need, return what you need and get all the help you need in one place. Plus they close at noon on saturdays. Literally the most important day of the week for most. Drive the extra few miles and go to a place where they act like they want money and they want you to return as a customer. This place couldn't care less. Just don't mess with their collection or interrupt their social time. Total petty nonsense. I can't in a million years imagine telling a customer they can't exchange bolts because they weren't shiny enough. I would have eaten the cost, which they wouldn't have to do, before I did that. Go somewhere where their customers...
Read moreJohn both goes out of his way to make sure all my needs are met every time I go in. Their lumber prices are the best around, and everyone is friendly and helpful. Some items are a little more expensive than Lowes, but that is to be expected in a small town, and the price difference is rarely enough to pay for the fuel it would take to go to Kingsport or Morristown. When it is, Phil is usually more than willing to price match.
Most importantly, when you walk in everyome seems genuinely happy to see you. It is exactly the small town feel that I was looking for when...
Read moreI love having a Co-op here in Rogersville. We are blessed to live close, however it would be well worth your time to visit it from any distance. The staff is amazing and the selection and prices are great. A combination of old fashion feed store and modern hardware store. Sales and repairs of yard equipment, greenhouse plants, livestock supplies, household items, BM paint, the list goes on and on. Spend some time there, it's a lot bigger...
