Uinta Theatre — Local services in Roosevelt

This theater is owned by the same nice couple that owns the drive-in and the Twin Theatre across the street. This is a very old theater and they've chosen to keep the lobby pretty original, which means there's not a lot of room. They offer newer movies, always in 2d on an updated digital screen. The inside of the theater has been redone in the last 20 years and looks nice. It has more leg room and actually has two sizes of seats, which is nice. I love an 'old style theatre experience, but this was the worst. Seats were very uncomfortable and squeaky & a very musty smell. The sound system was awful. The smell of fresh popcorn was truly the upside of the experience only to receive a bag of cold, stale popcorn. To top off the bad sound system, the employees in the lobby (separated from the theatre by a set of thin wooden doors) sounded like a party was going on, making it even more difficult to hear the movie. Went to a movie and they had just a few bags of popcorn and we asked if it was fresh. They said it wasn't made tonight, but it was still good. Asked if they Could make fresh and they said no. They use the old first. I will not pay for...
