My Mother-in-law spent 2-3 months with them. She came from a hospital in Waco for mental health problem. She is diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder in her late 60's. She got a homestead, 1 working car and a few dollars in her account. The finance personnel told us she can get Medicaid after they had figured out how much her monthly earnings are. But, MIL needs to pay private first because they need her bank account to be low to start the application for Medicaid. Over and over, we were assured she'll get Medicaid. Come December, told us she got denied by the State or THMP for the reason that she does not need a "Skilled Facility " like they are because my MIL is physically independent and all the facility is doing for her is just to give her medication. Now she is moved to an Assisted Living Facility from a Skilled Facility. Wouldn't have any problem if they had made the "determination" that MIL is not going to be approved by THMP because of the lack of "Medical Necessity" months in advance. When THEY HAD NOT ATE UP ALL HER FUNDS! She was paying $5,000/month for atleast 3 months from her OWN Pocket plus a little bit of Medicare. Our family asked for some copies or copy of any documentation saying they had applied for her thru THMP but until now, she has not responded. Didn't even bother to call us and told us they had moved our Mother on that day. We were told she will be moved unless we (or MIL) can come up with the money to pay for her private stay in Heritage House Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility to an Assisted Living. And we agreed on the move. We asked her is there anything we needed to do. And she said no, they will facilitate it all. She (the Finance Personnel) told us she's going to call us or let us know when our mother will be moved. Never did. No response to the emails, and no call. This goes to show that Heritage ONLY kept our mother when she still had the money to pay them and when she cannot, they were eager to move her immediately. They SHOULD HAVE ATLEAST TOLD US WHEN THEY ARE MOVING HER ON THAT DAY AND MOST OF ALL SHOULD HAVE INFORMED US ABOUT THE "MEDICAL NECESSITY" so as to have her moved earlier without Heritage taking almost all her money! I am being generous of the 1 star. If I can give them zero, I would! But, yes they have helped our mother find an Assisted Living Facility and granteed my MIL was a pain because of her mental health disorder, they had tolerated her enough to keep her until she runs out of funds. Now my MIL still owe them over $1000 that she had to sign a promissory note to pay them $350/month....

Read more5 days I laid in bed at home sick, on the 6th day I called the ambulance because I was almost not alive. When I arrived at the hospital, they were amazed I was still alive. I was an alcoholic and needed help on so many levels. I was released from the hospital and admitted to Heritage House Nursing & Rehabilitation in Rosebud Texas. I have resided here for a year and 5 months. They have maintained my health and social capabilities in the facility. I enjoy helping the staff and being an advocate for the new residents. I enjoy the activities at the facility and the food is extremely good, I have gained weight because of it! I put down the bottle and picked up a fork! They have made me feel welcome in every aspect. Heritage House has given me a reason to...
