I hate to do a bad review, but simply put, this has so far been a terrible experience with this company. I will try to be as objective as possible to help you make your own judgement call. I bought an item here I could not find and the usual bigger companies I usually buy from (if you are a gun guy like me, you know the ones). I ordered this 12/12/2023 and by the 14th, it was at the post office. If you have shopped here before, when you checkout, it really pushes shipping insurance which to me felt kinda like a red flag. But I overlooked it. Buy the 20th, the package didn’t move so I emailed the company concerned, and no response. By Christmas, still nothing, so I emailed again. I fully understand I am not going to get a response over the weekend but was hoping to get one after the holiday. Still nothing. To be fair, I know the holidays are busy. After the 3rd unanswered email, I decided it would be better to call. After a couple of tries (I get the 26th must be crazy busy), I finally get a hold of someone in sales, Tim. Generally, I try to be as polite as I can on the phone, I know how it is. Screaming and acting like a fool will really get you to know where and honestly, why act like a terrible person. To be fair, talking to this guy wasn’t initially horrible, but, he basically came off as if this was my fault for not opting into the shipping insurance. He stated that he would call the post office and follow up. And 100% for sure, he did and did call me back at the end of the day and basically said that the post office would need to investigate, and he would call me with an update when available. Two days later I called for another update and wondering what the plan is and how long I would have to wait as I really needed my part. At $200 I really cant afford to buy another. I was transferred to Tim again who basically (am I am paraphrasing) “I told you I would call when I have an update so why are you calling?”. Ok, now this is subjective, but I was trying to be as nice, and reasonable with this guy as I could as he progressed to get ruder and ruder on the phone continuing to make this out to be my fault for not getting the shipping insurance. Mind you, all I was looking for was to understand at what point, if the post office does not get back with them will I get a refund, a new product, screwed out of my money, etc to which this guy continued to be sarcastic and unhelpful telling me it could be a month, etc, I can’t give you any answers, so on. I am trying to ask questions, he is talking over me to the point I have to say “look, sir, I am not trying to be nasty to you at all, I am trying to be polite, all I want to know is reasonably, how long should I wait before I call back?” continues to be rude. Finally, I figured out this is just not the person to talk to. I politely, politely ask to just please speak with someone else, to which the guy hangs up on me. Ok, I am angry now, but I am still not that guy. I call back and speak with a woman in customer service. I explained who I had just talked to and did not mention the previous conversation that I had just had, but I get the sense that she was somewhat aware of the conversation, nonetheless. She explained the situation, nicely, professionally, and courteously and said that “a lot of the shipments go out in big trucks and take forever to get checked in at the post office, this happens a few times during the week, and would likely be resolved by Tuesday and if not to call back”. She was fantastic and answered my questions. Thank you to you whoever you are. We will see on Tuesday if it gets shipped, fingers crossed. In the meantime, this will be the last time I shop from here. I get being in customer services, I get rude demanding customers, but my only reason for this, there is no reason to be nasty to a customer who is just concerned about their product when they are genuinely not trying to be rude. Read moreFantastic experience purchasing the two-tone Walther PDP Pro SD Compact from Omaha Outdoors. The firearm was sent to my FFL of choice in San Antonio, TX and everything took place within just a few days despite the Thanksgiving "Black Friday" orders these guys were probably inundated with. To quickly clarify, I already had the can (Rugged Obsidian 9mm) which was purchased from SilencerShop separately. So, please do not think that the suppressor comes with the firearm, because it does not. Anyway, this is one of the best stock firearms I've purchased in a while. The trigger is silky smooth and light, the flared magwell is so user friendly, and it fires like a dream with either spring included in the box. If you plan on firing suppressed, make sure you have a Nielsen Device. It cycles flawlessly with the Nielsen. My only gripe are the sights. They are NOT suppressor-height sights out of the box like FN does on their 509 Tactical series. Once again, if you plan on firing it suppressed, you will need to swap the sights out with something taller (Night Fision does tritium suppressor-height sights specific for the PDP Pro). Please keep that in mind and probably even order a new set of sights simultaneously when purchasing the firearm. Aside from that, I highly recommend both Omaha Outdoors and the Walther PDP...
Read moreI placed an order on 12/4/2024. I paid an obnoxious amount of money for faster shipping (considering the size of the package). I finally get an email a week later on 12/11/2024, saying that my package is on hold (although they already took my money a week ago) because they need to verify my shipping address because my billing address is different.than the shipping address. God forbid somebody buys something and has it shipped anywhere else than where their debit card is linked to. I could have just went to any gun store and picked up my gen 3 Glock 17 magazines, but I decided to give this company a shot, and buy mags and extended baseplates from them instead of Strike Industries(whom I've done good business with several times in the past) . I assure you I won't be doing that again. Waste of time and money. The only positive side of my experience was the gentleman that I talked to in customer service when I called to verify my addresses yesterday. He was very professional and that's pretty much the only reason I'm giving you guys 2 stars rather than one. The Marine Corps taught me a lot in the way of patience, but waiting for this order has been a bit of a nightmare. So quick to take your $, but so slow to get you what...
