The FRAS volunteers do an amazing job of assisting the city's animal services department to ensure that Rowlett's shelter animals are properly cared for, get needed medical attention, and find new homes with fosters or furever owners. Thanks to them, the city is not put into the horrible position of having to euthanize due to lack of space, even though the facility has been outgrown and has been consistently at Code Red status for months. These folks put the best interests of the animals first and make many personal sacrifices on behalf of the dogs, cats, and other creatures and critters with whom we share this world.
