
Has the best little island vibes. It's been a while since I've been here. I use to go to out to sandy point, a LOT, alone! & before parking became such a hassle w/ fighting over spots & and badetiquette, I do not recommend women going there alone. It's a large secluded beach & at times, it seems like you're the only one there or others are off in the distance. Especially if you stay past 5pm. So maybe around 2008/07? Read moreA lot of the beach was closed for the birds but if you go all the way down to Sandy Point it's all beautiful beach from soft sand to rocky tidal pool areas and it's fun to stop along the length of the island at all of the little trails and towers to see the views and the wild difference in vegetation from one spot to the next. You might even catch some unexpected wildlife - we saw a couple of tiny snakes in the woods and there was a giant male turkey just strutting around near the road in one spot. Don't...
