Food Country — Local services in Rural Retreat

This store is always clean except for all the food underneath each register. Also please dont have cashiers eat there super at the registers or eat at the registers have cashiers put there personal belonging in a locker there purses& Jackets donor need to at the register & they do not need to be on their cell phones texting there friends during work hours.This is work not social time Also get your deli manager to get off her cell phone during work hours she is always on the floor with it to her ear & if she is taking medicine & counting pills in the deli do it where the public can't see it.Also if you are going to reduce meat than dont pile all on to one another. Keep in the meat section it belongs & reduce it like that. When you pile it all in to one corner of the meat Dept it looks really grooss. Most of all lower your prices on beef way to expensive considering this is a farm town. Working in the grocery business for a long time in NY this would never ever fly. Two separate occasions recently I purchased groceries and came home to find some stuff was moldy on the bottom even though the best by date was still a week away. I also received food that was expired but their store sticker was on to mark it down and extended the expiration date past what was on the item by over a week! They're extremely overpriced and all the times I've been there, I've only met two friendly employees. Everyone else is just miserable every time I see them. A pro is there are no crowds. You'll see things less, equal, or more expensive than Walmart here. In meats you find better deals and also because many are local. Now in produce they're way expensive. A lemon 0.99 cents (12/26/2018, consider inflation year to year) a lemon can be found at Walmart now between 25 and 33 cents. A pepper $2.49. Now the apples are less expensive.
