Amazing spot on the river!

We booked cabin #1 for a weekend getaway with our family friends. We accidentally under booked but when we called the owners they were completely understanding and helped us find a solution. The cabin was clean when we arrived and ready for us to make ourselves at home. Both bedroom had a bathroom (only 1 had a tub, but we used a large tote we bought so all the kids could take a bath). The access to the river was great! There were a lot of steps, but they were kept in great shape. And we could walk to it, which was a huge plus for us. The river spot was great for the kids and adults with both shallow spots and deeper spots. My kids enjoyed the playgrounds and all the trails to walk. We called to buy ice and it was brought to us in 5 minutes which was great so we didn’t have to load kiddos up and drive to find it. The views are breath taking.

Ps bring a can opener lol that’s the 1 thing we forgot and couldn’t find in the kitchen....

For $175 a night we expect to check into a ready cabin. My father's cabin's bed had huge blood spots on the mattress cover. In our cabin, the a/c unit was leaking in the living room floor and wall, grease must have been on the stove because we had heavy smoke during cooking and something that looked like ash was blown in the air over the food, the windows don't have screens so flies were excessive when airing it out. One of the shower's handles kept turning, so it would not turn on. We called and spoke to Tiffani, and things were eventually taken care of. We demanded one night be comped because of the excessive issues. Tiffani was VERY rude, argued, had excuses for everything, and made us feel as though we were in the wrong. Don't suggest this cabin rental at all we get there and instead of relaxing I'm stuck cleaning it and then on top of that we get charged a fee because we left a few mugs that we washed to dry in the sink and a few rocks were moved from ground rock fire area. The best part was being harassed about one of our kids arm bands had came off. And on the day of check out we went to visit with our family down at the river for a few hours before leaving back home and owners told us we had to leave because we checked out of cabin. I'm not sure why they were so strict or if it was a race thing but we will never go back $400 and something for a day and half was not worth all this especially...
