I stopped in to use the ladies facilities on the way to Lost Maples. I was seriously impressed at the array of items to be had here. I picked up a few items that we had forgotten. This was definitely the right place. The only thing was that the lady at the register didn't even acknowledge me, not even while she checked me out and I bagged my own items. She was still having a conversation with the lady in front of me who looked like she was trying to just get her stuff and leave but the register lady kept talking. We’re from out of town and forgot about stopping in a larger town before getting to camp out in Concan. We needed to buy meat and some other food items for camping and the closest large grocery store was in Uvalde, about 40 mins from camp. I searched for other grocery stores and found Utopia General Store so I decided to give it a try. I’m glad I did. Staying in the area and forget something? The Utopia General Store probably has what you didn’t know you needed or forgot to pack. Great selection of common grocery staples, hygiene products, and little odds and ends. If you’re floating the river they have river hats as well.
