I must say I'm really let down by Dorado right now, I went last Thursday to get a gel manicure for my wedding last weekend and they are already breaking! It's been 7 days and I've had gel before and they last well Into two weeks and when they had broken before well into two weeks they never broke as down low as this set is now. It's painful and for 100 dollars this shouldn't be happening.
I really loved this place and recommended everyone to them for the amazing job they once did. The ladies are all sweet and used to take their time to do an amazing job but lately my family and friends have had issues and no longer come here.
They cut my sisters foot rushing after she told the lady she needed to slow down.
They were rushing my mothers mother day gift, (and mani pedi) and cut her finger.
They messed up my wedding nails and now my natural nail is breaking super low!
My problem is that I requested a gel French set for my wedding, the ladies were sweet but rushed and didn't do a job that reflected any attention to detail. The manager has always been professional and reasonable so when i called and asked for either a refund or for them to fix it, I came back after having had to cancel my hair appointment! Afterall there would be many photos of my hands taken for my wedding so I prioritized this. I then came back and was told I'd recieve a very talented nail tech. Which redid my entire set, and now I'm seeing in the process had filed my nails so thin they are breaking so down low on my nail bed and it's becoming painful. I appreciate the manager wanting to make things right and being so kind about this, however I would really like my money back for my hands.
They also did my toes and that was perfectly fine, no one at the wedding would pay attention to my feet afterall, but my hands, for sure.
The time I left to get these nails done was my only time to relax and de-stress from having to deal with all that goes into planning a wedding. I trusted this place and was very let down and now my nails are thin and breaking 7 days after a fresh gel set. I doubt I'll get a refund for just my hands, I'm happy to pay for the pedicure on my toes as that service was great, but my wedding nails.... im hoping this place will...
Read moreMy sister and I decided to treat ourselves to a pedicure, since it’s been close to 8yrs since I’ve had one. We got the same package, Harmony pedicure, to include the paraffin foot soak, massage, hot stone, and etc. My sister and I were seated at the same time, and her tech came out first. His name was Leo and he was great - super personable, funny, made jokes, and gave her such a great foot and leg massage she practically fell asleep in the chair. My tech, Victoria, came a few minutes later than Leo, and when she asked me what color I wanted I explain I wanted black nails with purple chrome on top (in the spirit of Halloween and all) - She started to soak my feet and about 10 minutes later she got up and disappeared for about 5 minutes with the polish and chrome. She asked me again and I explained black nails on my toes, with a purple chrome on top, again. She asked if I wanted a manicure for those colors and I declined and said only my feet, and asked again how to do it so I had to reiterate it again. She started my pedicure again and some young lady walked by and she asked me once again how I wanted my toes bc she said she can do purple with purple on top to make it pop. At this point I was done explaining myself, so I agreed to purple toes with purple chrome. Then shortly after Victoria left again but this time more like 10-15 minutes later, and I saw she was doing some guys nails across the salon. I started to become irritated and wanted this process done already. She did my toes first, and then did my paraffin and massage, but the massage was barely an effort - she squeezed my feet a few times and squeezed my calves in an up and down motion with hot stones a few times and called it quits. My sister was finished for a good 20-25 minutes before I was finished - and we “started” at the same time. Once my sister and I were outside I inspected my toes and noticed the chrome was primarily in the middle of nail, and you can see the paint on the sides - so she didn’t apply it evenly or correctly. So lesson learned and now I’m out $80. I probably won’t be returning, and if I do I would ask for Leo. He was great and wasn’t...
Read moreI never thought I'd be leaving such a low rating for a place I typically have never had an issue with. As a consumer that works extremely hard for my money, dismissing my concerns is a fast way to insure I'll never return which I'm sure this establishment would be happy to hear anyway. I've been patronizing this establishment since February. Today I called and the preferred tech I wanted was going to be busy for another 30 minutes. No worries I asked for soak off while waiting and I also received my pedicure from sweet Mindy while waiting.
The 30 minute wait for the preferred tech went over which I understand the previous customer service must be completed first. I'm not upset about that AT ALL. I am feeling a bit upset tho about being told another I tech preferred had an appointment coming up but I noticed they were still free. I'm also upset that I practically had to BEG again to start soaking off since I was waiting past the estimated time.
The final straw for my visit was when I noticed a few of my nails were crooked and and the more he filed and tried to correct the shorter the nail became. He called Summer over and I let her know my last experience with this tech was amazing otherwise I wouldn't have waited for them. I expressed this visit felt a little rushed as I'm the last client he's servicing today. Summer told me that "your nails doesn't look crooked now that I filed it behind him and he never rushes 'girl'." Just very dismissive unapologetic no empathy. She offered to remove that nail only and redo it but i declined because I had already been there quite a long time. I told her I'd just pay and never return. She ignored that statement and walked away I suppose I'm on the hunt for a new salon. This visit left me feeling extremely unappreciated. Especially when they began to speak their native language once I expressed my dissatisfaction about the look of my nails. That's very rude unprofessional and dismissive by the way. I tipped Mindy cash because she's sweet as pie and truthfully the ONLY reason this is a two star...
