Check this out. I went to Neiman's Family Market today looking for Won Ton Wrappers and like always ended up wandering for about 10 minutes trying to find them. Then suddenly this person named John gets in front of my cart and accuses me of being somebody called Tom, and starts accusing me of complaining about the Chicken Pot Pies that they sell there for $5.99 each. These Pot Pies are about twice the size of a Banquet Pot Pie, which by the way are FAR superior to the ones they sell, (the Banquet Pot pies are WAY BETTER BY THE WAY) but my mother likes them so I get one for her once in a while as a treat. Anyways when they make them they are supposed to weigh out the filling in equal portions but for some reason or another, Ineptness no doubt, they rarely weigh the same and the one I picked up was about half as full as it should have been. So the next time I get one for her I mention this and the man in the Deli was very nice and gave me it for free. I thanked him several times and took it home. No problem right? WRONG! This guy proceeds to tell me he's had complaints from his employees that I was always rude to his employees and said that if I didn't stop he would "make sure" that I would not be allowed in the store ever again. Now I couldn't have cared less If I was black-balled from there because I only shop there because it's the only place in town, St. Clair, MI and the nearest other grocery store is 15 minutes away. I call this place The Worlds Biggest Party Store because that's how their prices compare to Real Grocery Stores but my mother gets her meds from their Pharmacy and it's convenient to go there. I ended up showing the guy my I.D. to the guy, proving I was NOT this Tom guy and all he does is walk away. This store is notorious for not taking down sale signs and people end up getting over-charged for stuff all the time. So many times that somebody could make A LOT of money just buying these wrongly priced stuff and taking the receipt to the "customer service" and taking advantage of the scanner law to get up to $5 for every wrong price. But to be publicly shamed like this is just going too far and I felt the need to vent about this to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNever had a bad experience with this grocery store, up until recently. My Grandpa recently passed away and for his memorial lunch in we decided to order some chicken from Neiman's. My Grandmother had told Neiman's that we would be in around noon to pick up the chicken, but the funeral service ended up running over. Therefore, we weren't there to get the chicken until around 1. Considering that the staff knew the circumstances of why we were ordering the food, the lady that some of my family members had to encounter was extremely inconsiderate, and rude. She told some of my extended family members who came to get the chicken that we were going to "ruin the reputation of their business", how us being late was extremely inconsiderate of us, and that there was no excuse for us being late. There is no reason why my family members deserved to be treated that way during one of the most vulnerable points of...

Neimanās Family Market in St. Clair has a clean layout and friendly staff, but the prices across the board are shockingly high. Whether you're picking up basics like bread and milk or shopping for produce and meats, everything seems marked up well beyond what you'd expect ā even compared to other local grocery options.
Its been my exthat you can expect to pay at least $1 more per item and up, compared to what youād find at Meijer, Kroger, or other regional stores. That adds up fast, especially for families trying to manage a weekly grocery budget.
While it's nice to support a local business, itās tough to justify shopping here regularly when a single trip can easily go over budget. The quality is decent, but not enough to make up for the premium price tag. I wish they'd re-evaluate their pricing to better match the...
