After reaching out to several landscape design companies in the area and not being impressed with a design presented to us we decided to reach out to Breezy Hill for their free consultation. Breezy Hill does have an awesome garden center and plant options so we thought we would give it a try asking someone to draw out a design for us with their products. We did have one of their designers come out to take a look and draw something up for us. He was more than nice initially, he answered all questions and seemed very seasoned in what he does for a living. But when I was transparent with him that we are still waiting on other designs in order to make a final decision he turned very defensive, pushy and what came off as super rude. He REPEATEDLY brought up the fact that the design we got is his property and even told us if we bid out his design it will cost us $300. We never once mentioned having anyone else execute his design so the bold assumption was very forejudged and unappreciated. I kept telling him we would keep him posted and that we need time to get other designs from other companies since I am one of those people that I like a variety of options. We have always had second, third, fourth, even fifth opinions on designs with contractors for work done in our home (kitchen, bathroom, etc). This is not uncommon practice to have options, however, this was first time we have had someone act this way...very confrontational, paranoid and unprofessional. I did mention to him that the price was high and he would not stop with the text messages in order to get me to change my mind right there and then, it felt very similar to a pushy car salesman...a very unpleasant experience. He even told me would be calling the next day to talk through the bid when I already told him I had no questions about it? I know Breezy Hill does awesome work when they do get jobs but because of the way I was getting talk to I felt attacked, smothered and disrespected. Based on this I will not reach out to Breezy Hill in the future for any landscape design needs if this is the type of people they have on...
Read moreGiving this facility one star as you are not able to give zero. I experienced the worst customer service in recent memory in my two visits here. The only reason I went back a second time was to try returning the shrub I made the mistake of purchasing the first time, which was dead a week later. Upon speaking with the “manager” she seemed to take strange satisfaction in telling me how our actions had hurt the product and that there was a no return/exchange policy on green goods. Oddly enough the only time this policy was ever mentioned was in small print on the receipt, which you only see after you have purchased something!!! Even big box stores usually give you a year warranty on their nursery products, so much for supporting local business if this is the customer service you receive. Be warned if you visit here you will overpay, be ignored, and good luck if something happens to your “green good.” Fancy looking store but they lack in any other area even compared to a big box competitor.
I left a message at the number provided in your response below on Monday, was told a Mary jo would follow up with me that morning and have heard nothing back. Great customer...
Read moreWe had a representative of Breezy Hill Nursery come to our house in February to quote us on a complete overhaul of the landscaping in our yard. A few weeks later they sent a proposal and quote for $14K. We had some questions about the quote (mostly asking for explanations about some landscaping terminology), but overall liked the proposal. There were some flowers on the proposal we didn't like, so we asked for some alternatives.
After a few emails back and forth, the Breezy Hill Nursery representative ghosted us. Just quit responding without any explanation. I thought maybe this person no longer worked at Breezy Hill but confirmed they did.
After not hearing from the Breezy Hill rep for a couple weeks, I reached out one last time via text but received no response. Suffice it to say, we cut bait and moved on. Found a company in Burlington who came out, worked up a proposal and quote, and is scheduled to start the work in a couple weeks.
Truly bizarre experience with Breezy Hill, but obviously would not recommend them to anybody...
