Salem Shop 'n Save Express — Local services in Salem

Most of the staff are friendly sometimes you can walk in and feel welcomed other times you walk in feeling like you are being judged and instantly profiled I can say only a select few employees that can make you uncomfortable. The store itself is always clean and well stocked the prices are outrageous not having a running vehicle sometimes I have no choice but to shop local when I do i don't make it throughout the month on the budget I have going to Walmart I can get all that I need and then some but at shop n save I have keep a very close eye on...

06/23 ordered a 12 piece chicken/no potatoes and cole slaw, greasy chicken(decent taste, but not crispy), worst...and I mean of all I've ever eaten, worst cole slaw anywhere!!! Couldn't possibly be fresh made, was tiny pieces like cat food and taste...nasty. And, they piled the greasy nasty jo jo potatoes all over my chicken after I said no potatoes. First time ordering from their deli, and absolutely the last. I live in Salem and plan on shopping at Food Lion for the next 3-6 months without buying so much as a loaf of bread from them after...

You could not ask for a better example of a family run business , involved in supporting their community! Mrs. Fluharty, even comes out to help pack groceries....Kevin and Karla are always helpful in ordering what you need or finding what you need. Even during storms that no other place opened, these folks did! Kudos! You may find the prices are a little higher than other big chain stores, but I will pay those prices to have someone who knows you by name, asks about your family, and supports...
