I would have given this place a 5 starts had the facility stayed like it was in the beginning. Also Ignore Car Buyers ignorant review. My twins were biracial and Im not rich, and we went to this facility for 3 years and not once did we feel intentionally mistreated.
My main issue with the facility is the fact that a lot of things kind of fell apart. I am not sure as to what lead to this. One thing was many people thought the services provided would be free. This facility does not offer free services, and no where in the "US" sadly, ever offers free services like these. The facility is large and very beautiful. They keep it clean and they make sure a lot of things stay working.
My issue was in the beginning my twins were getting far more therapy than they ever would else where. I was stuck at a previous location that only provided one hour a week. This facility offered 6 sessions of therapy when they first opened but at the time they had a large group of therapists. They received two occupation & four physical therapy four times a week. It felt as if my twins were making progress but sadly their genetic disorder began to get worse. We still continued therapy but over time employees/therapists either left, or might of been let go. Again I dont know the particulars but my guess is all the people who thought this facility was free, left it and their large bills behind. Which probably lead to them letting people go due to financial struggles. If people dont pay for their services, how can they support their employees. Sadly a lot of very great therapists disappeared over time and the group got smaller and smaller, along with the availability to provide the amount of services they did.
My twins got worse and by this point surgery was suggested. I had fought and tried my hardest to avoid surgery but it reached the point that there was no other choice. They both went through an extremely large surgery within weeks of each other, and intense therapy after that at a different place. Once they were ok to go back to CRIT was when things began to not go well.
I was promised by the doctor that my twins would receive 3 days of therapy. Two of the days would include three rounds of physical therapy and one occupational, then the third day would be two rounds of physical therapy and one occupational. I knew it would take time with the scheduling and I was told to give it a month till things could get in order. I waited patiently but month after month, the promise was never reached. Even one week there was only one session of OT therapy, which wasnt what they really needed. I was told they were going to be put as high priority for scheduling but it never changed. One therapist had actually asked me how my schedule looked and when I told her she got upset and asked to look over it. I gave her my schedule and she informed me she would bring it up with the doctor and the scheduling department. She knew my twins needed much more attention yet it was not happening. I gave it one more month and decided to take a break. I loved this facility and the staff and yet I felt I was let down. Especially after my twins having a major surgery I wouldn't want a facility risking the work done for them to go back to what it was before hand because they could not offer what they promised. I finally took a break from CRIT which gave me the chance to go to another location to request services I know will be set more in stone than it being a guessing game with their schedule.
I would still highly recommend this location but not for all disabled children. There were some cases there that could of taken their child to any other physical therapy location and received more than enough for their child. This facility would be great for more extreme cases, so be ware that availability isnt always guaranteed by your child's case, more so they try to make it even for everyone "when not all cases are even". This is where I feel they fail and thats...
Read moreVery dissapointed with the way they have handled their patients waiting list .The first time I watched Teleton with my family , we were soo happy to know that my daughter who was Cerebral Palsy may be able to benefit from the therapy at this facility. When we called to put on on the waiting list the said it would be a two year wait, and that was back in 2015 ,. I called them yesterday april 15, 2019 and the employee that answer my questions said to me in a email that only the drs have access to see the patients waiting list and that my daughter was actually enrolled in 2016 , which we know was not the actual time we enrolled her. Sad to know that there is some lack of truth with this matter. Sad to know my mom who actually donates with soo much love for this entity knowing that soo many children including my daughter could benefit from it , and that she has not had chance to go to this hospital dissapointed with...
