E-Z Mart — Local services in San Antonio

Just found out from a vendor who walked in the store while i was shopping saying that this location is about to be transitioned into a different store brand. That is crazy!! Only if ez mart cared about how this location was turned around from 5 years ago. Shopping here daily to constantly hearing other customers praise the manager of how clean the store always is and how it smells good and how so many people like myself started coming back to do business after 5 years. I don't think the company understands how much of a difference the management and her staff made not only to the store but to the community as well. It has been so pleasant to be a customer but there is no doubt in my mind that after living in this community for 30 years no management has ever been as good as the one there within the last 5 five years she is amazing. i guess i will have to go down the road after so long to do my shopping because i know if her and her staff leave this store will go back in the dump like it was years ago. I live right behind this location and have had multiple issues with the employee Ashleigh. It got to the point today where I have made a decision after 5 years of going to this store religiously for our corner store needs I will NEVER AGAIN go to this location. Ashleigh is rude, and disrespectful. Today I walk in, I'm never greeted by the way (not that it's a big deal, just making it known), and there is a customer waiting for Ashleigh to ring her up. I go about getting what I need and maybe after 5 minutes I'm ready to pay. The girl is still waiting to be assisted. After 10minutes of me waiting I ask the customer if she had been waiting awhile and she said yes. With no reaction from Ashleigh I quietly wait another 5 minutes....now I'm kind of upset as this is supposed to be a convenience store but was not convenient to wait all that time for literally snacks and cigarettes. Horrible, I have been coming here for 20+ years since before it was an EZ Mart that is how long we have been in the neighborhood. Today I was asked to leave my purse sized backpack (which is my purse because it has my wallet and my diabetic supplies I have to carry) at the front of the store by the doors unattended and un watched where anyone can walk off with it, very unsafe for no reason. Horrible employee, bad selection, very over priced. It has been getting worse over the years, but I continued to shop here due to the fact that is was close and less than a minute 2 tops from my house. I will now be taking my business to Walgreens up the street or Valero a little further down it will take longer to get to, but it is worth it in...
