He sold me USED EQUIPMENT that he claimed was new. According to the manufacturers my amp had not been made in over two years at the time of purchase. Only some of the components came in boxes. He plays games with his invoices. Run don't walk away!

His showroom no longer exists, the owner had to close it.It now appears he moved from Rhapsody to a new address. Next he never completed a full home installation.

Mark installed the incorrect equipment and I had to constantly call him to finish a job that was subpar. The system was unable to run as insufficient electrical outlets were run to the rack. The equipment purchased was not what was on the invoice.

It took him over 3 months to obtain a screen because he used the funds I gave him towards opening a restaurant. He claimed it was on back order and when I found it for him online, the screen magically appeared within a week.

It took Mark over 4 months to order and install remote control power shades by Savant. He kept blaming Savant, so I called the wholesaler and found out no order had been placed.

Mark wired the savant system incorrectly and claimed my builder had cut a wire. My new vendor discovered he had run out of channels and no wire had been cut. Mark LIED!

Mark placed the projector in the wrong place in the media room so that I didn't get a full picture on the screen, I had to pay to have it moved.

He placed the speakers and subwoofer in the wrong places. I had to pay have them moved and have the walls repaired and painted.

Mark supplied an amp in my bedroom that does not interface properly with the Savant system he sold me.

He never attached the the amps for the $60,000 audio system in my media room. They were plugged in and on standby to look like they were working.

Mark originally used google hotspots for my home until he was told they would not work by a Savant technician who came to my home and he had to go and purchase a suitable internet system. Initially he claimed he was paying the technician $1,000/day to be at my home and when I asked the tech he told me that Mark didn't even reimburse travel which was customary.

Mark did not know how to program the system and kept blaming Savant for his shortcomings.

The list goes on........Are you getting the idea. I don't know why anyone would use Mark.

It is now costing me $28,000 to correct his errors and overcharging( for equipment and shades)

As an aside during the job his service van was repossessed and his bank account levied by the IRS.

He was more interested in opening a restaurant than working on my project. I was overcharged for my project and I suspect the funds were used to fund his new restaurant. I would never recommend him.

Also check his Angies list reviews (not by me)

Please contact me with any questions. I will provide you with full background, information, invoices from new vendor on what needed to be corrected and costs.

UPDATE......Mark placed electrical extension cords in my walls. This practice is against code and can cause a fire. Even worse, if it does cause a fire my insurance would not cover the damage. I urge you if you have used Mark to have a licensed electrician...

Mark just finished installing 7 KEF speakers and a KEF subwoofer. (Really really nice speakers and Marks price was the same as Amazons- and he is an AUTHORIZED dealer.) But more than that Mark went above and beyond for my install. I bought the KEFs from him and he installed them , then when it was time to install the receiver, done by Best Buy Geek squad, I had Mark there at the same time to make sure that there would be no problems. The Geek Squad guy was good, however Mark not only installed the speakers and cables, he taught me about the Receiver (Not his job), and REPAIRED a pinched cable on one of the speakers in the ceiling, a cable that HE DIDN'T EVEN RUN. But He knew I couldn't do it and the Best Buy guy wasn't going to do it, so Mark did it. Very professional. I run a couple of small businesses and sometimes you go the extra mile and you win customers for life. Oh and it was hot up there! Stellar customer service, KEF speakers rock (not cheap but you get what you pay for) - buy from Mark with complete confidence....

Just worked with Mark at Signal Audio Visual to set up my media room at home. Not sure if it's possible to have had a better experience from beginning to end. Mark patiently worked with me through several iterations of estimates until I settled on a system that was to my liking. Through the installation, every obstacle that same up was simply a puzzle that needed to be solved to get us to the desired state of a fully operational home theater experience. Mark is an expert in his field and the fact that he loves what he does is apparent in every conversation. His excitement to get you set up with a system that makes you happy and satisfied speaks volumes, and if you can help it, that's the kind of person you want to work with on your project. Goes without saying that all my audio video needs are going through Mark Slubar and his crew at the Signal Audio Video. Whether you're balling out of control or balling on a budget, Mark will treat you with respect and get...
