Where is my technician Ashlie w/ the colorful hair?!? I was really anxious about bringing my parents back after having negative experiences w/ the staff. A couple months ago, they were lucky enough to get this really knowledgable and extremely warm assistant named Ashlie who was patient, kind, and respectful to my elderly mother w/dementia. She can be difficult, overwhelming, and before then had been treated rudely by all the help staff. My father moves very slow and his hearing is awful. The nurses were never thorough and thoughtful until Ashlie. Not only could she answer just about every question I asked, but she never once lost her patience, acted put off, or made us feel rushed. Ashlie took every obstacle my parents presented w/a smile, kind affirmation, and was highly entertaining and funny. I've never in all my years had such a positive experience at ANY doctor appt. SHE is the main reason we have kept coming back, but their past couple follow ups, we haven't seen her anywhere her at the main office. I hope and pray you all didn't lose her. She is a once in a lifetime, beautiful soul. I hope everything is okay with her bc, in my opinion, as a retired RN of 35 years, you'll never be able to replace her. Every assistant we've come across since has been subpar, vague, and unskilled at their jobs. ASHLIE is an absolute treasure! I really hope you all share this review with her bc she should know how impactful she has been both to my parents and Dr. Starck's practice!    Read more2/20/23 - Worst Optic Center - changing from 5 stars to 1 star. I took my husband and daughter to this location because of my experience last year. However, I had the worst experience with Carmen at the Optic Center.
I dropped off the glasses with Carmen at the I-10 location, then got a call when ready without knowing that the call was from the NW Military location. When I arrive to pick them up, Carmen has no record of them. When I inform her of the voicemail I had, she implied I drove to the wrong location but she was going to get them shipped for me the next day. I could not pick them up until a week later. When I called today to ensure the glasses were there, it was like groundhog day. This time, she told me they normally did not have clients go to one store and then another and that the drive was too far for people to go get the glasses from that location!
As I reiterated I did not go to another location and that I gave the glasses to her, she said she did not know how she could have added another address but she would have a manager go drive to get the glasses. I asked her to please call me tomorrow (2/21) when the glasses were at the location so that I could pick them up.
I hope she will call me and I will get them. After this, I will not buy glasses again from this location. I lost all the confidence I had.
As far as the Optometrists, they continue to provide excellent service. I would continue to go to them.

   Read moreBEWARE!! Do not come here if your having an eye emergency. Even when youâre told you can be seen as an emergency patient, they will leave you sitting in the waiting room for over an hour. They will not triage you accordingly. Great place to go to get some fancy frames, but not a great place that practices real medicine. Update: a woman reached out from the clinic to get âmy side of the storyâ only to invalidate all of my concerns and tell me my opinion, despite the fact that I also practice medicine before my vision loss, was âpoorâ when she was not even there. She asked if I âhad done my researchâ before making the appointment. In a sudden vision change situation where YOU CANT SEE, research was done when I called to make an appointment and was told they could get me in to a retina specialist immediately if needed, which is why I made the appointment to begin with. A bad experience followed by an incentive argumentative patient relation specialist concerned about the negative Google review and not at all about preserving my eyesight.
