I, Roberto Mena, own the restaurant El Chocolate located in Cape Coral, FL. I am a regular client at the Ft. Myers location of Restaurant Depot where I have experienced, perhaps, the best customer service in a business of this sort. Now, I have taken the time to write this review to highlight the outstanding quality of the workers at the store, specifically the ones working the registers and the front end manager, Linda. Every time I come to Restaurant Depot Linda greets me respectfully and with a smile, then she proceeds to ask what will I need on that specific trip and is very prompt to find exactly what I am looking for. I believe excellence, honesty, and teamwork should be rewarded and the great times I have had on my visits would not have happened without their efforts as community and Linda’s ability to multitask and direct the team joyfully to create a familiar environment that nurture respect and collaboration from both the employees and the customers. In one occasion I forgot a personal item at the store and she sent someone to deliver it for me without hesitation. This is an excellent example of this team’s wholesome service and compassion. In our times women often struggle to get the same recognition as men do, and I hope that these lines to bring awareness of what a great front end leader the store has and what an amazing work is being done on a...
Read moreI never even got to go inside.
I called the day before and inquired about their day/guest pass. The woman I spoke to said they still offer them, just stop at reception on your way in. Then gave me a list of what couldn't be purchased, alcohol, shellfish, etc. I said great and the call ended.
The next day I drove 40+mins to the store. I have my 9mos old son with me, in his stroller. I go to reception and tell them I need a guest/day pass. The woman informs me that my son is not allowed in the store. It's a brand new policy, but no children whatsoever. This policy is not posted anywhere, nor was it shared with me when I called them the day before.
My kid was calmly sitting in his stroller not making a peep. He literally can't walk, so no reason that he would be disruptive or running around. I shop with him everywhere, because like most parents I don't have a babysitter for every errand I need to run.
So this very anti-family and unfriendly, store was a complete...
Read morevery bad experience here. i agree we opened 1 box to check if it was the right product we wanted. but when the staff came and told us we couldn't open it, then we didn't open it and just looked at the products we wanted and when we picked what we wanted we took the product but the boxes after that had already been opened. my dad just took that box down and he told me this box had already been opened. my dad just touched it to check it was opened yet. but the staff rushed over and told my dad we couldn't open the box. we said there were many boxes that had been opened before, not that we opened them, she could check the camera but she said she saw my dad open that box. we agree that the first box was opened but after being reminded we didn't open any more boxes after that. So did she accuse my dad of opening that box when it had already been opened before? I don't know if her feelings were good that day, but I think when I go to work, I shouldn't bring those...
