Very rude when I asked for towels that couldn’t be found. Then Brenda texted scolding me about not finding the hidden towels in a basket.
Replying to Brenda- we are lawyers threat? That’s not what happened. I told you we own a law firm, meaning, we are business owners and have influence like yourself and you don’t treat our clients like you have. I would make sure other people know of our experience after I let it go and gave you a 5 star review!
You didn’t have towels available to be found Brenda. If you went and found them after we left, then clearly they aren’t in the places they need to be for guests to find them. I actually texted you and said I would let it go and God Bless. But you can’t let this go. It’s your job to make towels easily available and accessible to guests. When I texted you, you even said they should be in the master bathroom drawers. I even was kind enough to send you a video showing you I could not see them and I could not find them because they were not there. Once you dropped off the three towels, we never contacted you again. I did not want to bother you. When my mother found the three towels in her bedroom basket I thought oh good OK there are some extra towels if we need them. Why is this my fault? I’m not understanding your anger towards our family? We are taking about towels. You’re acting like I did something to your home. We left your home spotless. We checked in perfectly we left on time there is nothing we did to your home. However, you’re wanting to be angry at me for not finding the towels that weren’t in the place that they were supposed to be? Because it’s my job after you left the three towels to let you know we found more towels? I’m not your staff Brenda. This is gaslighting at another level. I do not recommend using...
Read moreMy wife and I were bugging out in Phoenix with the heat and the staying home, so we decided to venture out to La Jolla to enjoy some much cooler weather and a different point of reference.
We had the pleasure of staying two weeks in Casa La Jolla and just returned home, only to feel homesick for our vacation house. This location was amazing for us, we were out of the Labor Day weekend fray, up on a hill above downtown La Jolla. More of a local area, which was perfect for us. After requesting and a discussion with BeachHaus, we were allowed to bring our dogs with us because of the large fenced in backyard. It was just perfect. We cooked, we BBQ’d, and we went out to restaurants (masks/social distancing). The beach is a 10-20 minute walk or a short drive away.
The house was very clean, you have access to a good washer and dryer, and was also treated for Covid 19. The beds were comfy, and the kitchen was well stocked. The area is very safe.
It was also our pleasure to meet Brett, the onsite manager of Casa La Jolla. He is a local that is very knowledgeable of the area and his suggestions for activities and restaurants were always spot on. He is really cool and a hands off manager.
This was the perfect vitamin sea we needed to recharge. We will definitely be going back to the area to try other properties managed by BeachHaus, possibly in Del Mar and/or Solana Beach. We feel that the property and this experience far exceeded our expectations.
Thank you Brett...
Read moreAfter growing up in this beautiful coastal SoCal town in the 70's, this house immediately felt like home for us. The smell of the sea air, the expansive views of the beach and complete privacy are nostalgic for me but would be a treat to anyone who stays. In a time when we are still a bit tentative in the outside world, it is really nice to have a retreat that is close to town yet essentially on top of the mountain. For those who want an outdoor experience away from the crowds near the shore, there are a bevy of trails right down the (somewhat steep but fun) driveway so you can launch right into a morning hike after sipping coffee and having a bagel on the deck.
As an interior designer and architecture enthusiast, I am always looking at craftsmanship coupled with appropriate juxtaposition with the land, this home achieves both and you can see the personal care put into the build - there is no sheetrock, all wood walls - all wrapped up in an adorable perch. The interior is a perfect time capsule of the 70's, including the record player and books and the VCR! Everything, except the beds which are super comfortable. The place was exceptionally clean, cozy and just set up in a way where you feel like you are visiting your favorite aunt, and she just baked you a pie. If you are looking for a boring hotel experience this is not the place for you; but if you want to feel like you are Home Sweet Home then I would encourage you to get in before everyone is in on...
