I ordered a cake on August 16th for my son's 7th birthday on the 22nd for pickup at 1:00...my mom and I show up for the cake and no one had made the cake..Ana "the manager" in charge at the time said (ohh well there's nothing I can do but to give you your money back? ???? I said where am I going to get a 1/2 sheet cake in 2 hours?? She says I don't know?? Esperanza another employee very nice , not rude like the so called manager .anyway Esperanza called the other Murphys to ask them if they could make the cake for me? Thank god they did!!! Ana laughed at our faces when she saw us being upset for not having a cake so I told her it was not a laughing matter I said I'm sure if this was happening to you and your son you would be mad too!! Long story short, I called Sammy who I was told it is the owner? He already knew about the incident and offered to make it up to my son..that was very nice of him and I appreciate it but if I was him I would not have employees like ana working for me because they need nice polite employees not rude and disrespectful like ana......I just want to say to ana karma is a bi..h!!!!!! Read moreWell this place I assume gets bad shoplifting so it’s expected that there prices would be kind of higher than expected but today I noticed there cheap burritos went up 75 cents at once to now 2 dollars and I saw that and kept going to get oj that’s still the same but I got very immature rude service like always there but worse as in no English no quarters as that one I knew wasn’t going to happen but because I’m not Mexican I get the same disrespect as the other non Mexican races get there yogurt drink is fire or amazing but the meat guy with his attempt at intimidation and threatning demeanor caused this review I’ve never stolen anything from them I see why people do though lol...
Read moreThis place is great. I'm new to City Heights from a small town in New Hampshire, and this place feels like home. All types of people shop here, but it's primarily a Mexican food store. It has lots of staple supplies, veggies, and the greatest darned chorizo I've ever had. The checkout staff is so nice, and the giant security guard at the front has a heart of gold. Even though everyone here is bilingual, I've even learned a little Spanish so I can impress these people. They learned English, so I should learn Spanish! The Mexican pastries and snacks are a little weird, but I love trying new things. This is a great neighborhood store, and I'm lucky to live right...
