I have been going to Windmill Farms regularly for several years and have watched as the quality of the produce and the service slowly declined. There have been numerous occasions in the past months when the produce I purchased molded within days of bringing it home, or when whole racks of produce were moldy in the store.
More alarming is the rude cashier service. Last week I watched as a cashier treated an elderly customer extremely rudely as she tried to return a bad product. Today I was reprimanded by a cashier for trying to buy half a bunch of kale. She told me that because I removed two kale leaves from the bunch that those two leaves were now "wasted" and I should buy the whole bunch since I'm "paying for it anyways." This interaction was alarming for two reasons. First, why did she have to publicly reprimand me? I didn't know I wasn't allowed to do that, shouldn't there be signage if it is really that big of a deal? Second, does this mean that Windmill Farms will throw away that kale instead of re-bunching it? So much for being...
Read moreI live close by the store so it is very convenient for me to walk to since I am able to purchase “usually” what I need which is fine. What I am a little unhappy about is the availability of certain products such as cheese enchiladas and vegetarian options for certain meals. It’s now April 3 and more than a month has passed by and nothing. I am a vegetarian and I wish that the store would keep their word about special ordering meals if this is an option to paying customers.Had I not lived as close as I do, I’d take my business elsewhere....
Read moreUmm ive never been to this store. However, I always decide whether to visit a place based on negative comments. I read two and couldn't believe the complaints. Really? 1st complaint-You blame the store for expired milk? How about you check yourself and make sure of what you're buying. 2nd complaint-the deli didn't make you a sandwich at 8:29? C'mon man you're old enough to know delis close up earlier than store. Because they have to clean all the equipment and sanitize and put away all utensils and food. Should they have to stay and extra half an hour so your highness can have his sandwich? To the folks at Windmill Farms, I have never been to your store or met you all but thank for being so professional and polite. I wish you guys much success...
