Del Cerro Pizza & Beer — Restaurant in San Diego

Del Cerro Pizza & Beer is open peeps! I believe Del Cerro Pizza is going to be a popular spot in Del Cerro and the surrounding communities here in San Diego. They make some good pizzas and salads.

That being said, I had the 14" Pizza Bianca and Caesar Salad. The caesar salad with large and tasty. They use a creamy dressing, not the traditional egg white dressing, but it was very good. The Romain lettuce chopped for ease of eating and the salad came with a good amount of croutons. The best part of the salad was the shaved parmesan cheese they garnished it with. I love that on a Caesar.

The pizza bianca was a white pizza with olive oil, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and parmsan cheese. Not to mention fresh garlic and fresh basil. The pizza was very flavorful, but I would of liked to seen and tasted more garlic. The crust was of the thinner variety and very good. It offered a good crisp texture underneath.

Service at the counter was very friendly and super welcoming. Loord was super sweet and helpful with the menu and such. They offer a very good amount of inside seating a table outside. They offer beers and...

We loved it! We took our kids for dinner and got the following items.

Cheese bread: the cheese bread was soft and fluffy with a slightly crunchy/caramelized bottom. It was pretty big and we ate all of it because we could not stop eating. The marinara served with it was really good and zesty. Cheese pizza: this was for my son. I didn’t try it but he ate half of it after also eating cheesy bread. I think he liked it. Meat Madness pizza: this was really good! The crust was different from the cheese bread, which I appreciated the variety. The crust was flavorful and a thinner crust. My husband especially really like it! It was huge and we had plenty leftover. I had two pieces cold for breakfast :) Tiramisu: my daughter’s favorite dessert and she ate it before I realized what was even happening. She said it was very good.

One thing to note: this isn’t a bar atmosphere. They have some bottled beer and it looked like a few options on tap but you wouldn’t come here just to drink a beer IMO.

I order pizza weekly for a school gathering. The staff is fantastic and my students and faculty love the pizza. The food is equal to the amazing customer service and the warm welcome I receive each week when I pick up the pizzas.

Once Sam sold Madra Pizza, it was never the same. The neighborhood was missing a good pizza place that felt like home. This fills a void and I wish them only the best!

We had been using another vendor since Madra Pizza closed, and found the quality to lack consistency. In addition, the order was often late and the staff did not want to have to put the pizzas into my vehicle because they didn't have time.
