Direct Factory Furniture — Local services in San Jose

We stumbled upon this store after waiting two months for an online IKEA order that ended up being cancelled. IKEA is our usual go-to for furniture since we like the simplicity and price, and don't mind hauling and assembling. However, everyone's had to adjust during the pandemic and there hasn't been a better time to support community businesses.

On arriving at the showroom, Angela gave us some time to look around and then handed us a catalogue. She gave us helpful advice on which furniture pieces would fit our needs. She also stretched to help us meet the budget we had in mind, reducing the price further by removing assembly and clean-up fees.

We got a great deal on a Homelegance dresser and bed frame combo. It was smoothly delivered within 2 working days, including placement in an upstairs bedroom. We are very happy with the quality of the furniture and appreciated interacting with staff that know their trade well.

I've taken one star off because when we initially called the store, I asked if the stock in store was the same as on the website and at the same price, and the gentleman at the other end assured me it was. However, on arriving at the store, Angela told us that the website sells old stock that it is delivered much slower than the newer stock at the showroom (months vs days). It is possible that the gentleman we spoke to on the phone misunderstood us. 4 week update The couch was delivered on time the next day as promised. I used it daily and no signs of wear yet. Couch functions great. I’ll provide an update next year!

Thanks again for FAST DELIVERY and a Quality product! Look forward to shopping here again. Service is great. Meaning, when I first walked in I was greeted, but not followed. Which was nice. They gave me the space to shop around and was able to approach them on my own time with any questions. Mike was easy to talk to and not too pushy which I appreciated very much. Very knowledgeable about all products which was comforting.

The in-store furniture was all in great condition, functional and although they were all squished together I could still recline!

We walked away with a recliner. At first they said delivery in four days and caught us before we left saying they can deliver tomorrow. Wow! So great. Who doesn’t love fast delivery.

They also dispose of any furniture, but cash is required. I’ll update my review when I get our couch (hopefully) tomorrow!

I went in to purchase a dresser and two nightstands. I walked and and was greeted by a gentleman who didn’t introduce himself but told be to walk around to see what I like if if I don’t like anything on the floor we can look in the catalog. I said thank you and walked around. I didn’t like anything on display so I asked to look in the catalog. He showed me the catalog and while we were looking he was getting a phone call. He told me to take over the mouse and look by myself which was fine. I found a dresser that I liked but I wanted to know if he had matching nightstands. I waited about 10 minutes while he talked on the phone laughing and having a conversation in his office. So I ended up leaving and purchasing...
