I brought my sister old laptop here for repair. First a person name Long told me $50 for diagnostic, so I declined. As I prepared to walk out, he examined the laptop and said the motherboard is bad. I said we just need the data in the hard drive. He said he could retrieve the data for $50, and put it on a USB drive. He said if they provide a USB stick, it would be another $20. I agreed to it, and left the laptop there. About an hour later I received a text saying the hard drive is physically damaged and it would cost $250 to fix it, and if not successful, they would have to send to a lab and cost $800. I texted back and said we don't want to do it, and I would come by to pick up the laptop. They texted back and said there is a $50 charge for diagnostic if you don't let them repair. I texted back and it was not mentioned at all. As you can see, attached is the receit/work order for the laptop, only $50 to retrieve data from the hard drive. When I arrived at 5:15PM later, another person was at the counter, he told me Long is not at the store, and refused to give me my laptop back. I said it's not what was agreed and argument ensued. He then told me to leave the store, almost trying to shove me out. I said don't assault me. He then used 2 spray cans to spray on me, so I left the store. I called the police, and waited 30 minutes, police not coming. Meanwhile, my sister called and said let her talked to the guy, just give him $25 cash and get the laptop back. So I did that. In short, this place cheated and assaulted me. Watch out for the cheats, I would avoid them.

MAKE SURE YOU TAKE PHOTOS OF WHATEVER YOU'RE BRINGING IN TO GET REPAIRED BY THESE GUYS! I brought in my rare PS3 to be diagnosed and repaired by KT and paid the $30 for diagnosis. I get a call a month later that they can't fix it and I can go and pick it up. Upon picking it up, I noticed the faceplate missing and informed them about. They told me that it came like that... ok..he'll no! I'm 110% sure that the faceplate was on when I brought it in. Super dissapointed in the fact that they could've at least reimbursed me my $30. At least. Watch out for these guys, they might pull some shady stuff on you.

Hands down the best all electronics repair and technical help and support store in the whole bay area and more. I have use them for numerous projects and they have always manage to address my issues in 24 hours. Some of tasks I thought were impossible to accomplish but they always some how find away. They also take in trades and sell all types of gaming consoles. Please support their great staff and amazing business. Plenty of safe parking in the rear of their building. Macbook and iPhone heaven.

KT Electronics displayed some of the worst and overpriced services I’ve ever received. For background, my PC has had issues with freezing randomly, so I wanted to see if KT could diagnose my PC and tell me whats wrong with them. I gave them a call and over the phone, I mentioned that I had a gaming PC that I wanted to get diagnosed. They quoted me $50 to diagnose a PC. When I got there, they told me that laptops are $50 and PC’s are $70 for diagnoses. This should have been my first red flag but I chalked it down to being an honest mistake. Before leaving my PC with them, I asked the associate if gaming PC’s were something they specialize in. Instead of being honest, he said yes. Come to find out, when I check their website, it says they specialize in screen replacements for Apple products. Stupidly, I paid the $70 and left my PC there for the diagnose. They then texted me and let me know that they “found the issue” and concluded that it was due to overheating. If you know even a little bit about computers, you would know that this is likely not the issue. If the issue was overheating, my PC would show a blue screen and reset on its own to prevent further overheating. My PC was experiencing freezes, not blue screens. The technician then told me that they went ahead and did the repairs for me, quoting me $90 for reapplying thermal paste, $30 for dusting and $50 for tune up, which ended up being virus scans. Again, if you even a little bit about PC’s, you would know that thermal paste is $10-$15 online, virus scanning is essentially free, and a can of air to dust your PC is probably $8. They severely overprice their services, and went ahead with the repairs without my permission. However, I was trying to be optimistic about the situation and I paid the fees and took the PC home. The PC still had the same issues and nothing was fixed, and on top of that, it was still dusty. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with their service, they tried to tell me that the issue lied within my SSD, and tried to sell me a new one for $160. I tested my SSD health and it was perfectly healthy. I asked if my initial payment would transfer over to this new purchase since they were unsuccessful and they said no. I called and asked to speak with the manager and they said he would give me a call the next day. 2 days later and no call. These people are essentially scammers and you’re literally better off asking a random stranger for help than these people, which is literally what happened to me. A random stranger that I met helped me resolve my issue and not the “professionals”. Save your money and...

I purchased a new (EARLY 2015) Apple MacBook Pro Retina 13.3 2.7ghz i5 8gb 128gb SSD from a big retailer conglomerate that sports blue and gold. Paid $1,100+ tax, so $1,200 total. That was with a $200 discount at the time.

The reason I did this was to replace my wife's stolen 2012 Apple MacBook Pro. Little did I know that her version of software used for work ($5,000) only works well with Windows 7.

In 2015 Apple MacBook models, EFI installs are no longer supported. Even though there is definitely a way to install Windows 7, I was having difficulty making that happen.

I posted her new 2015 on the local classifieds and started searching for a model made prior to 2015 that would be suitable.

I came across an ad listing several MacBooks and knew I was seeing a seller that I could hold accountable for the purchase of clean gear.

I called and asked about one or two since there was a long list of MacBooks, but the list left out pertinent specs that most of us want to see in a classified ad. After coming here and speaking with Khuong, I realized they mostly list the details that can't be upgraded.

I brought my wife's new 2015 Retina that was no longer returnable to the big business I purchased it from. After taking a look at it and hearing what I wanted, Khuong pulled out a 2012 Apple MacBook 13" Core i5 2.5ghz 8gb 500gb HD. He was asking 845.00 for the Core i5 which has the standard 3month warranty from KT.

I requested that he upgrade to 1tb HDD, 16gb ram, and install a native Windows 7 install. I asked for this to be a straight trade for my Retina 2015. He said, "yes." He mentioned the three month warranty that is included and mentioned the 1yr warranty for an additional $60. I told him I would gladly buy the 1Yr warranty for $60. So now, anytime I have an issue with Windows or Mac OS, he is on the hook for the next year.

I was given a trade in credit of $1,075 for my used laptop. It's a fair deal for both sides and that is what negotiating is all about. Besides, the Windows 7, the 1tb hard drive, the 16gb ram provides much more purpose for my wife.

It was my first visit here and I must say, I am very impressed with the level of customer service and attitude at KT. I really don't see the need to deal with...

DON'T TRUST YOUR ELECTRONICS HERE .... :( Here's why: -I brought my -iPad Pro 12.9in. 5th Gen-in to get a diagnosis and was not asked for ANY form of ID nor was I given any agreement/paperwork/permissions to sign. I thought it was weird but figured they knew what they were doing... I should've trusted my instincts smh! -I received a text a few days later saying my iPad was unrepairable. I went to pick it up a today and when I got to their location it was completely gone and demolished with a sign saying they had moved locations. No one called me to let me know they had moved which I would've really appreciated knowing ahead of time, because I work full time and took my 30 minute lunch break in order to go pick it up. -I drove to the new location and was told my iPad was "in his van" so I physically watched him walk to his van to go get it. -When he gave it back to me I noticed a chunk of the screen was missing out of the corner of my iPad and plastic tape was covering it. When I asked what happened, he said that happened during the diagnosis because there was a small crack in that area. I was aware of the crack but had brought it to other repair shops without issues. -I tried to explain how disappointed I was to receive my iPad back in WORSE condition than I had received it, and how come they didn't have me sign a waiver or form stating that damage might occur. -He had no honest response and was very snappy with me, just kept repeating "that's just what happened" and I could tell her was getting annoyed with me questioning him about it.

In conclusion: I do not feel my iPad was properly cared for nor stored in a safe location. Even if they are transferring facilities there is absolutely no reason why my device should be stored in a van parked in the street. What if my device had been stolen? I was extremely disappointed to receive my device back with more damage than I had left it with. My feelings were not respected nor cared about. I wouldn't not recommend this business and would advise you to select another repair shop that follows better guidelines to ensure the safety + care for...
