SEAFOOD WAS NOT FRESH. The shrimps, and octopus were old, dried, and chewy. Not sweet at all. The oysters didn't taste fresh.
Service was terrible. We had to get the menus ourselves. All 3 workers looked stressed out. Didn't give us enough utensils. When we asked for 1 fork, it took a long time for the waiter to bring it.
Not all the tables had peppers. The owner is too cheap to buy more pepper containers.
Even paying for the bill took a long time.
THE FOOD HERE IS MEDIOCRE, NOT GOOD NOT BAD. BUT EXPENSIVE SINCE THE FOOD IS NOT GOOD.
The chips weren't even good. They mix the old chips with new ones. Hopefully they don't recycle the customers' unused chips like Los Mocojetes in Menlo Park.
They give you nasty tap water.
The 4 or 5 star reviews are from people who don't know what good, fresh delicious seafood should taste like.
Once you have tried good seafood elsewhere, you will know what you are missing when you come here.
Get your ceviche and seafood at Aguachile on Jackson Ave and Alum Rock. It is 10 times better than this place. Mariscos San Juan on Senter is good too.
Restroom was dirty. We came in during lunch time, yet there were no paper towels.
The parking lot is terrible. It has abandoned cars and very limited parking. Don't drive your nice car here. Someone will hit it or break into it.
Most restaurants at this location don't do well here and close soon after they open. If this place doesn't improve on their food quality by providing fresh seafood or not over cooking them, we predict that this restaurant will close down in the near future.
Will never come back here again.
Thank you for the poor recommendation Frank...
ย ย ย Read moreYesterday, around lunchtime, I was passing by this place, and hearing its music in the background, I decided to try its food. Despite the staff shortage, the people in charge did everything possible to serve people: provide a fast and friendly service, and bring you food with good presentation, shape, and taste. I appreciate your threefold effort.
I had Chilaquiles rojos, a side of guacamole and huevos con chorizo. I know it is a seafood place, but every time I go to a "Mexican" business, I test their food's quality, freshness, and seasoning by asking for essential dishes and guacamole.
I was not disappointed; the portions were perfect, the seasoning was there, and the guacamole was prepared to order with fresh products. I need to return to the place to verify that it is a good option.
P.s. The quality of the photos is not very good since it was on the patio area, and the red umbrellas did not help much to "show...
ย ย ย Read moreIf I could give 0 stars I would. Worst service ever. They took over an hour to serve our food. They were bringing out everyone else's order 1st, orders that were taking after our order. The manager was flirting with 2 girls and wasn't even paying attention to his surroundings. After the girls left, he came over asking if we needed anything else, and we told him we were waiting for our food. At that point, he realized we were there for over an hour without our food.We were visiting family, and we were coming from LA to that restaurant because someone recommended the food there. The manager excuse was that the waitress had personal problems and hadn't put all the order in. We had order a cheese quesadilla for 1 kid a side of rice for another kid and 3 orders of fries and that took them over an hour to bring out. I will never go back to that...
