More approachable and less chaotic than the other Asian supermarkets in the area, Foodnet offers a good selection of fresh fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood. Located on Lleweling boulevard in San Lorenzo, foodnet is part of a strip mall that caters to the neighboring San Leandro San Lorenzo residents. H Mart this isn't, but Foodnet was renovated somewhat recently and looks pretty nice inside. The store is bright and clean and fairly well organized and the fresh produce is of good quality. No funky smells. Chinese, and some Japanese, Korean, vietnamese and Malaysian products are available. Prices reflect the demographics of the area and are quite reasonable. For those that are looking for an updated Asian supermarket, Foodnet is a good choice. Just don't expect an H Mart type of experience.

Ive actually been here many times usually just for seafood like shrimp, fish, or crab. They have a good selection of Asian groceries and fresh seafood, obviously this makes it a little sticky lol but other than that its a great place to get some fish or a box of ramen you wouldnt be able to find at any other big chain stores.

A long-established neighborhood grocery store with fresh fruit and vegetables, live fish and crab, fresh meat, and Chinese ethnic food.

This Chinese supermarket has been a longtime establishment that serves San Leandro and its vicinity. I don't even remember how long I have been shipped there— possibly over 20 years? It is great with its variety of Chinese ethnic foods: packaged ramen, frozen seafood, fresh vegetables, specialty sauces, packaged tofu, fresh bread, and bottled soda. The price is pretty comparable with the main Chinese grocery chains.

The meat section offers an extensive range of cuts, including beef, pork, and poultry. The meats are displayed, allowing customers to handpick the perfect cuts for their preferences. The friendly and knowledgeable staff is always on hand to assist.

The live fish section has tanks of live fish: tilapia, catfish, back bass, cod, and sturgeon. Fishmongers are available for scaling, cutting, and cleaning the fish. Frying service is also available at no charge.

My favorites are their cut-to-order hotpot meats, live fish with free cleaning and frying services, and easy parking with a large parking lot.

In conclusion, this local Chinese supermarket offers a great selection of ethnic food, particularly fresh meat and live seafood. With its diverse selection, friendly staff, and close proximity, it is a great choice for...

Some things here are really great prices and some are double you've seen elsewhere. You just have to know your prices to compare with other grocery stores. I would recommend if you need Asian inspired ingredients you can't find in the tiny section of the "international cuisine section" at safeway or similar grocery stores, as well as pretty good prices on most vegetables and spices/herbs. It has been hit or miss for me for freshness of seafood there, and you can mostly tell by if it smells fishy or not when you get into the store. I recommend knowing exactly what you need and being able to find yourself though because nobody knows where anything is, which possibly can be partially to language barriers. You get a lot of blank sweet smiling and nodding or being told "no i dont know" or "we don't have" and then finding yourself later by going down a different aisle lol.

Overall, as a neighborhood store, the appeal is convenience to not have to go a couple miles down the road to the regular...
