The Crosby at Rancho Santa Fe was the most beautiful venue to have a wedding. My now-husband and I were extremely satisfied with the planning, recommendations, the VIEW, and the service provided the day of the wedding. All our guests could not stop complimenting the venue and kept asking how much we spent on the place :P . No glasses were empty as the waiters were on top of the game, the food was delicious, and to this day, I still get asked about what type of food was served or how much the venue cost by parents wanting their children to get married here.
The only reason I'm withholding a star is that, after going through two event managers who were awesome (Rhonda and Brooke!), a new event manager was assigned to me because the previous one was on maternity leave. The issue came up after the wedding. We were charged a certain amount of money that we asked not to be charged on the card we gave them. We asked to have the bill sent to us so that we could pay the next day with cash, but they went ahead and charged the card. Also, there was an issue with the refunds/receipts that really did not make any sense at all. I never received an invoice until two months later, even after emailing her a couple times and her telling me she would the day after our wedding, and the only reason I even got a response was because I CC'd the general manager of The Crosby. The event manager kept giving me different amounts/numbers each time regarding the balance and refunds, and, honestly, it was a mess that I just gave up on trying to understand where she got her numbers from. It wasn't worth getting a refund. That's how bad this got.
The only advice I have to give to anyone considering this venue is to make sure you request invoices immediately or someone else is taking care of the finances. Otherwise, the venue and all other services...
Read moreThis is an absolutely legendary golf course that I’ve had the privilege of playing twice now in the last two years. Luckily one of my friends is a member here and he lives on the course. Great bar and restaurant here too with a nice laid back feel to it. It’s always a pleasure playing here. I played this course recently this December. The greens were the fastest I’ve ever played in Southern California even though I haven’t played a lot of course out here I can’t imagine the greens being any faster. I’m an average bogey golf kind of player and there were some holes that felt like the US Open where you just keep hitting it onto the green and it’ll run off the other side and you’ll go to the other side and do the same thing. This shouldn’t make you shy away from playing it though, it’s an absolute gift if you are given the opportunity to play it. I hope I get to play it again soon. Thanks for the...
Read moreAs a wedding venue, The Crosby really does an unbelievable job at creating an awesome experience. Their attention to detail, restaurant quality food, sweeping views of the golf course, and elegant grounds made for such a fun night that we shared with loved ones and will remember forever. Nestled in the heart of Rancho Santa Fe, your lodging options are limited - our guests stayed at the nearby Morgan Run Resort. While it wasn't completed in time for our big day, the team was working on facilities for the bride/groom to dress on site. My wife used the country club's facilities, but a private room would be ideal for brides on their big day. Hope this review will help you consider The Crosby as a venue and swing by for a visit. They have a 'VIrtual Tour' on their Google Places page to give you an idea of the venue for ceremony...
