Firebird Theater — Local services in Sandusky

Locally owned and operated theater, recently made the investment to upgrade all their projectors to digital, and it shows. Seats are comfortable, concessions are highly yet still reasonably priced for a theater. They are accommodating to special events and locals, I know the local fire departments regularly use their facility for some weather spotting training.

The only reason for the loss of a star is the parking lot.... It's awful. It is, and has been for some time, in desperate need of repair. It would be better off if it was just a gravel parking lot, it's just that bad. It's almost a joke among locals how bad this parking lot really is.

Despite the parking, its still a theater I enjoy going to, and they generally have the latest movies right when they come out. Ticket prices are also...

I drove from bad axe to Sandusky to watch coco. I had previously wrote a bad review because I was so upset. The time showing on the internet was 5pm and we got there and the showing was not til 6:15. Roads were bad and son was very upset cuz we cldnt wait around. I was contacted by them immediately with an apology. They found the problem and not even an hr later it was fixed. All though we won't be able to watch coco, they r sending me free tickets. Which is so awesome. I do love this theater obviously cuz I drive there from bad axe. I am very pleased that they not only fixed the problem but are sending me free tickets. I didn't see that coming. U guys are awesome ....

The movie theater is kept clean, smells clean, and the tickets are extremely reasonable with discounts for children and seniors. I would rate this 4 stars if it weren't for what I mention next.

This is the first theater that I have ever seen with a sign that indicates that no purses "or handbags" are allowed. Maybe this is a new trend, but I do not support this. There is a rule that says no outside food or beverage, and that should be enough and of course strict enforcement is absolutely fair. Most of the business revenues likely rely on food and beverage sales. There must be an expectation for the customer to adhere to rules, but also a retention of...
