Today, I sold my 2017 Ford Escape Titanium with 56K miles to this dealership for $1000. 2 weeks ago the car transmission failed and I brought it to the dealership for service on February 22. I explained to the service manager Sean Berger who performed my intake on his computer. He advised me that since my vehicle had less than 60k miles repairs would be fully covered. I received a text by one of the service advisors within a day or two saying I would not be covered as the vehicle was greater than 5 years old. The vehicle was only driven on average 7000 miles per year. I requested to speak with Sean and he told me there was a glitch on the tablet he used for intake and that's why he did not mention the age of the vehicle not allowing it to be covered. Granted, he knew it was a 2017 and despite the "computer glitch" he was able to do all other aspect of the intake. I was told a few days later that the cost to repair or replace the transmission was $7500-$10,000 dollars. My other choice was to sell the car back to the dealership.
I was able to obtain blue book and other car estimate values ranging from $10000-$12000. I was put in touch with used car sales and had an excellent salesperson Jalen Alexander who was extremely professional , courteous, and friendly. Wish I could have said the same about the used sales manager Shaun Barr whom I was directed to to discuss my sales options. He offered me $1000 dollars for the vehicle as his best offer stating the vehicle would go to auction. I questioned why the car transmission would fail at under 60K miles and he wasn't very empathic or concerned about my situation and frustration. For him, it seemed like just another business deal. He advised me that Ford would likely not make any money on the transaction. I reached out to friends at other dealerships in this line of business ( Mercedes and BMW) and they said Ford would likely not do such a transaction unless there was a profit to be made. Conceivably, the dealership could have met me halfway on costs for repairs or increased the sale value having made errors in communication on their part.
Once again, I felt uneasy about my communication with this dealership. Even today as I completed the transaction Shaun Barr handed me paperwork without saying hello, shaking my hand, or saying thank you for you business.
With certainty, I will never purchase from Ford again, in particular this dealership, as there was no personalization to my experience at the managerial level.
IN ADDITION, YOUR RESPONSE SUGGESTED THAT I REACH OUT TO THE PHONE NUMBER YOPU PROVIDED FOR THE VP OF SALES. I CALLED THE NUMBER 3 SEPARATE TIMES AND IT IS AN INACTIVE OR FAKE NUMBER. ONCE AGAIN THIS VALIDATES YOUR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND TRUE CONCERN FOR YOUR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND PROBLEM...

Rating: â ââââ (1/5 Stars)
I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Jim Ellis Ford that I feel compelled to share to warn other potential customers about their questionable business practices.
Initial Contact and Promises
My interaction began when I made an inquiry about a Ford Raptor 37. Habil, the sales representative, returned my call and I was very clear about my requirements - I had specific quotes and discounts from other dealerships that I needed them to match. The conversation seemed promising initially.
Things appeared to take a positive turn when Francis, the sales manager, personally called me back. He assured me that they absolutely do price matching and promised to send me a competitive quote shortly. Based on this assurance, I had high hopes for a straightforward transaction.
The Bait and Switch
Here's where things went completely sideways. The quote they sent was indeed $1,000 under the price match I had requested - which initially seemed like great news. However, this is where their deceptive practices became apparent.
Despite the initial discount, they then proceeded to add: $1,995 for some questionable "exterior/interior protectant" $899 for "clear shield" $400 for window tinting
Broken Promises and Contradictory Statements
What makes this particularly egregious is that Mohammed had explicitly told me earlier in the process that their dealership "does not do add-on games." This statement proved to be completely false, as they proceeded to do exactly that - adding over $3,200 in unnecessary add-ons that completely washed out any discount they had initially offered.
The Bottom Line
This classic bait-and-switch tactic is exactly the kind of predatory behavior that gives car dealerships a bad reputation. They lure you in with promises of competitive pricing and no add-on games, only to hit you with thousands of dollars in mandatory extras that eliminate any savings.
Due to these shady practices, they lost my business entirely. I'll be purchasing my Raptor from another local dealership this weekend - one that actually honors their word and doesn't resort to deceptive tactics.
Final Recommendation
Avoid Jim Ellis Ford at all costs. If you enjoy being misled, having your time wasted, and dealing with sales staff who make promises they have no intention of keeping, then by all means, visit this dealership. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere - you'll find much better deals and honest business practices at other dealerships.
The Ford Raptor is an excellent vehicle, but this dealership's approach to selling it is anything but excellent. Save yourself the headache and find a dealer who operates...

As I entered the showroom, I was greeted by a warm smile and a genuinely friendly attitude. The salesperson, Keyvonte, introduced himself and immediately made me feel comfortable. He didn't rush me or push me towards any particular vehicle, but rather took the time to understand my needs and preferences.
Keyvonte patiently listened to my requirements and asked insightful questions to get a clear picture of what I was looking for. He didn't try to upsell me or persuade me towards a more expensive option. Instead, he focused on finding the perfect car that suited my budget and lifestyle. His genuine desire to help me find the right fit was evident throughout our conversation.
After discussing various models and their features, Keyvonte suggested a few cars that met my criteria. He took me on a thorough tour of each vehicle, highlighting their unique aspects and explaining the technical details in a way that was easy to understand. I appreciated his expertise and felt confident in his recommendations.
Once I had made my choice, Keyvonte walked me through the purchasing process step by step. He patiently explained the financing options, guiding me towards the most suitable plan for my situation. He made sure I understood all the paperwork involved and ensured that I felt comfortable with every decision I made.
To my surprise, Keyvonte went above and beyond by arranging a few additional perks for me as a gesture of appreciation for my business. He secured a great deal on my trade-in, found an excellent financing rate, and even threw in a complimentary maintenance package. It was clear that he genuinely cared about my satisfaction as a customer.
Overall, my car-buying experience with Keyvonte was nothing short of exceptional. His friendly demeanor, extensive knowledge, and dedication to customer service made the entire process enjoyable and hassle-free. Thanks to his expertise, I drove away in a car that exceeded my expectations.
I highly recommend anyone in search of a new car to seek out a salesperson like Keyvonte. With professionals like him, the car-buying experience becomes not only a transaction, but a memorable journey guided by trust, care, and a genuine desire to help customers find their perfect match.
