The Chamber Music Society of Salt Lake City concerts are absolutely magnificent! The top classical musicians from around the world stop in SLC - the legends, the up-and-coming ensembles - and you can walk in 20 minutes before they start and sit in the first few rows, if that's where you want to be. If you have ANY interest in classical music, are classical-curious, or love music and aren't familiar with classical music, you owe it to yourself to check it out. Up at the U of U so there are no downtown parking hassles, with terrific sound in Libby Gardner Hall, very casual so you don't have to dust off the fancy clothes. It's almost comically inexpensive relative to other entertainment, to hear - I'm repeating myself, but - THE BEST IN THE WORLD. For a city the size of Salt Lake to have an annual concert series of this quality is remarkable.
