Carriage Cove — Local services in Sanford

This used to be a nice place. They are renting to a lower class of people now. You can't ever get ahold of anyone at the office, even when you go during business hours sometimes. You came ever get ahold of them via telephone. They don't return your calls. They allow vagrants to roam the park. They have a 2 dollar a day late fee and don't give you a statement so, they can steal your money. They waited until I owed them $260 in late fees to tell me I had any at all. Their improvements to the park have been superficial and have done little to nothing to improve anything. Find a better place to live.

So, you see the response and it sounds like they care. I went to talk to them about it and the park manager told me to calm down (my voice wasn't raised but, I WAS passionate because it means how many days I will eat this month) then she said she would work on it and do what she could to help me out. She sent me a list of numbers for charity places to help me pay the late fees claiming these people will help you. Most of the numbers were disconnected. The ones that actually worked were not willing to help with s such a problem. Basically she did nothing. So like her response toi this review it was nothing but, lip service and ad I started before they no longer care about the people that live here. They raised the rent to make "improvements". They put up a vinyl fence, some stupid signs, and a bunch of stinking speed bumps which the idiots they put them in to stop, drive fast in between them. They have painted the speed bumps and in one place have installed new storm boxes (one is 8" higher than the other and will never work). They speed bumps are poorly done and some of them threaten to take the suspension out of your car. Also, you need to add time to any trip you make If you live too deep in the park just for all the time it takes to get over them all. There is a constant stream of vagrants and thieves that are going through this park that makes anything you aren't watching subject to theft. The wrong solutions for the park's problems, no supervision on the contractor's that are doing the "improvements", and a total detachment from the residents if this park all add up to poor management and an increasingly lower quality lifestyle for the residents of this park. Myself and my family have been here for 8 years and now that Priscilla Bobe is the manager we are constantly harassed (about a car, but I found out there are residents here that are her friends and they are allowed to have trailers etc in their yards), discriminated against and our water bill has surprisingly jumped extremely high. I have reported them because what is going on is not legal. I work too hard and I refuse to be mistreated by new management because of their wrong doings and whatever personal issues they may have. My children have even been picked on by them, yet others walking their dogs don’t pick up the dogs feces on my yard and nothing is said. I confronted Priscilla one day when her and the assistant manager Quiara Arroyo were walking around my house taking pictures and I asked them why are they constantly at my home taking pictures but I never see them at the other houses, she said there are too many homes to get all of them so basically because I’m right across the street I get picked on the most. I have a piece of siding that I lost in the hurricane and the trim of my roof I’m still fighting with insurance about because it was to be fixed along with the roof. I explained all of this to them, I was even about to get rid of the car until I drove around the community and saw so many trailers etc in other yards. Harassment, discrimination, intimidation and illegally up charging for their profit is against Fair housing act policy. Some people can be intimidated but I can not be, my appearance makes other think I am uneducated and not intelligent enough to know laws but she picked on the wrong family. I also reported the cars that speed in the community and again nothing is done by management. A gentleman lost his life right in front of my house because of a car speeding through the community yet cars still speed through, my children and other children walk their dogs around here and that should be taken seriously but Priscilla is more concerned with the car in my driveway and missing siding than the safety of people walking in...

LOVELY--Homes, park/pool, fitness center and pond (ducks included.) Friendly people waving as you walk by their manicured lawns to do some shopping at Walmart. Lets walk to the rear of the complex and use the door that was put in, anyway it saves time and it's NOT Cold outside anymore !

Honestly I don't think that it hurt anyone. For such a large community, this short cut to the major name brand stores, I wonder how this was approved. .??

I would think that the residents who live here would like to cut time off from their 25 - 30 minute walk to a grand total of 10 to 15 minutes, when we were allowed to walk through "The Gate to Retail"-- especially when it is 98 degrees out with the humidity at 80 % ! [ also lets think about the eldery/young, those with health conditions or disabilities ].

If I wanted to live where I was surrounded by 8 foot solid walls, I would re-enlist and go back to one of my many FOB's ( Forward Operating Base ) in the middle east. —— at least there Heat Exhaustion/ Stroke could be cured with a little common sense . Speaking of common sense, it is an absolute eye-sore to see 4 to 5 white plastic fence panels littered on the side of the street ! I only recently found out that they are from the new self made or rather people made gates- and this happens around 5-15 times during any 24 hour period. . ! !
