I'm torn about this experience. On one hand, it was easy to get an assessment, reviews and other websites backed that the site/company was legit, and they made it simple with prepaid shipping to send off my phone. Where I'm knocking two stars (and really, I feel like 3 stars) is in the assessment.
The company claims they have experts assessing that the phone aligns with what you listed in your initial submission rating. The first offer is based off what you claim, then you send it in, they look at it, tell you if that's accurate or if they need to adjust it. HOWEVER, I sent in an iPhone 14 Pro Max - unlocked - damn near pristine condition, because I always kept a case and screen protector on it. The first assessment came back saying that they were adjusting my offer (lower) because the details of my phone did not align with my listing. They said it was an iPhone 16 Plus, it wasn't unlocked, and that it was a T-mobile phone. I'm glad I read things before just clicking 'accept' because I've never had T-mobile service with this phone, I always buy my phones outright (therefore they're unlocked), and the only reason they must have come up with 16 Plus is becasue I shipped it in the box my new phone came in, since I'd just (finally) thrown out the original box. I also noted this before shipping. I'm not sure if they got my assessment mixed with someone else's or they're just playing games - but you can literally tell it's a 14PM by looking at it (the camera alone is a giveaway). I opted to have them reassess, expressing everything I just typed out, which they did. They upped the offer, but still deducted some $ because they then claimed it had light to moderate scratches. It did not. Nor did they mention that in the assessment the first go round. I examined that phone well before I sent it off and based on their listing descriptions, it fit what I originally categorized it as. In the interest of not feeling like going back and forth I accepted the offer and within two days I did get my Zelle payment. But based off their initial assessment and how terribly incorrect it was, I can't say I'd use this service again. But, the process outside of that was simple, the money was paid, and the timeframe was relatively short - so if you use them, be sure to read the assessment (within the three days they give you) thoroughly before...
Read moreSent in a seemingly mint condition phone (no cracks, no screen problems, not even 1 scratch on front or back) and got this response.
"We take pride in running an honest and transparent service. We encourage you to request a re-inspection should you feel that the below adjustments are unwarranted."
The back glass was found to be cracked or improperly anchored to the casing of the device. This is a very delicate and very time consuming process. Your device has been found to have moderate screen burn-in, also known as ghost image. Due to the issues found, your offer price has been updated to account for our findings. Price adjusted from $83.00 to $13.00
I was going to donate this phone before a friend of mine asked me to use ItsWorthMore so she could see if they were legit. She saw the condition of the phone and she has seen the response from the company. I leave it up to her/ you to decide ,, is it worth the risk and effort to use this company? Maybe all this happened in transit? I made sure it was packaged soundly with much padding but I suppose it is possible that the damage happened during shipping. Or maybe there was damage I could not see with the naked eye?
I did request a re-inspection of the phone whether I get an updated offer I don't know and will update this review if/when I do. Either way I have donated the $83 (rounded up $100) to cellphonesforsoldiers.com.
Update: After re-inspection they reiterated the same "issues" with the phone. "As a courtesy" they were able to increase the price $6 from $13 to $19. I updated the star from 2 to 3.
Update: Read the response from the owner... $30 was not the increase. It was $19. get it right please.. Thank you for...
Read moreRecently I was shopping for a 4090 RTX (computer graphics card) and I found ITW (ItsWorthMore) through eBay and because of their warranty for refurbished products, I checked out their website and saw that they would give me a fair value for my old phone. My service provider previously offered a monthly discount on a new phone for trading in my old phone. I though the offer was low considering I knew what I paid for it and the condition I kept it in. Instead, I sent ITW my old phone using the materials my service provider included with my new phone and had no issues waiting about a week for my phone to be inspected and tested. ITW gave me a direct deposit shortly after my approval of their appraisal for the old phone.
I work in the service sector and know that electronics can be a desirable item so, seeing that I was able to have added insurance on the phone shipment to ITW for only $2, I gladly paid it in case it was "lost" during shipment. One thing I did not like about my initial experience with the 4090 RTX was the lack of packaging in the box that allowed a $2500 item to shift around. That's a huge issue! Due to the card not seating properly, I returned it with bubble wrap that was not used for initial transport.
These have been my two experiences with the company and I would hope that If they are reading this, they take better care to prevent potential damage to such high value items. I also hope they continue to provide the same level of communication and flexibility because ultimately, both instances returned a positive outcome in a reasonable...
