ALDI — Local services in Sanford

Aldi's just rocks! I've been a Budweiser marketing manager and webmaster for Winn-Dixie so I may look at shelf sets, merchandise placements, people flows and brand offerings while most everyone else is simply enjoying the clean atmosphere and friendly smiles.

This location had an odd layout I think with the produce at the entrance. My daughter shops here regularly and agreed that it causes a bottleneck at times.

We also agreed that their cashiers are ultra quick! They (are trained to?) start ringing in the next sale as you cash out payment.

Overall I was impressed with this location. I only shop here when I visit my kids and prefer this one over the one by Wal-Mart on 17/92.

But my daughter said that location had been remodeled and is a better experience so I'll have to give it another whirl next time. It used to be my weekly routine to shop there and only go to Wal-Mart for things I couldn't...

We have shopped at Aldi's for several years and have always enjoyed a pleasant experience. The employees are always friendly and very helpful. However on 10-2-18 we were checking out and Eric (maybe a new employee) was checking out our items, when I looked up and saw him throwing the yogurt (I normally buy 12 at a time with different flavors) we’d gotten into the cart. When I ask him to stop throwing our food into the cart, he ‘informed’ me he had to scan each item. Now this is strange for years, the ladies have scanned one of the flavors, keyed in the number of each, then repeated for each of the different flavors. Guess he needs to be train a bit more, and how to interface with the customers. If it happens again I will address this type of action with the manager! Actually it won’t as we’ll not use his checkout again, I do not like my groceries thrown around in front of me...

The food is good the reason for the low number of stars Aka the ding is because they have a individual standing outside washing carts which would be great given our current situation in the United states with the pandemic going on except when you go to pay for your goods they are still giving you the person's cart that was in front of you and yours to the person behind you. If they washed it before getting that individual cart then I would have given a 5 star review. Today alone the was a recorded number of 8900 people to get the covid in a 24hr. Period and it's all the small things that matter. When I informed them of this it was shrugged off an I was apologized to. Which would be fine if there was actual change but as I loaded my groceries into my own bags they continued doing it with no change. So the review sticks be careful...
