Staff needs to approach us driver's with respect and proffessionalism. Being yelled at and scolded to go back to my truck" and being told that" I can't just go check in " for unkown reason. You have 2 stop" signs, 1 truck pulls up and other truck behind the 2nd stop.THERE'S NO SIGN THAT SAYS " TO STAY IN YOUR TRUCK UNTIL ASKED TO CHECK IN, driver ahead of me was yelled at and told" get out of your truck, you need to check in " what type of éthiques is that? Walmart DC has their own system and check in style. I had a Appt@6am, arrived at 5:40am in line behind other OTR trucks. Got check in at gaurd by 05:56 am got a door assigned #22, well from having to drive all the way to the other side of the warehouse, find the dock, drop the trailer, BT back find where to park,go to RECIEVING CHECK IN ", wait in line again is very time consuming. After, awhile I get a phone call to PICKUP PAPERWORK " And"..... IF TRAILER WAS PULLED AWAY FROM DOCK " I can take it regardless if the light was Green "Well" it wasn't out, I waited, and waited and waited. Previous reviews say we gotta find a dock guy who can get it done. Well", found a few, but were busy. Finally one approches me if I was waiting for my trailer ? Hé said he would check so it can be released to me. By that time it was 9:15 am ,hookup , drove back to recieving to pickup paperwork since they weren't ready the 1st time. In line at gaurd gate Checked in, assigned à dock Drop the trailer BT back to find parking Waiting to get unloaded Get called to hookup to trailer IF" PULLED OUT" didn't happen, or PU paperwork ..... sooooooo PU paperwork at recieving Go back to dock Wait for trailer to be released to hookup to my trailer. Get in line again" to get checked out by gaurd gate and leave. By that time it's almost 10am. I questioned your staff why they clocked me done here at 8:35am" WHAT? your Walmart system of not accurate times for OTR driver's is stealing money from us. That's DETENTION TIME " and for your paperwork to say I was out at such given time is FALSE. your staff told me that when I called to PU paperwork ", that's when the timer is Stopped and checks "US OUT" Well, NO "NO "NO " I attached my Trailer Control Record " sheet, I doubt those times are true. Read moreHad an appointment at 0600 3/18/21 got there an hour early surprisingly not many trucks waiting checked in at gate gave me an envelope to give to traffic drove to the traffic office parked on side waked in filled out a sheet was told to go to a certain door that a yard driver will move the trailer shortly drove over there and shortly later he moves trailer I backed in got unhooked and everything parked bobtail in the waiting area (this next part is why they are getting a 4 stars instead of 5) got a call that i was unloaded took only 20 mins i got excited lol they said wait for the yard driver to move trailer a foot from the dock hook up then get paperwork inside I drive over there and wait .... 20 mins had pasted I called them back they said to wait for yard driver I said okay 20 more mins gone by I decided to track down one of the yard dogs the first one said it's not in the que he couldn't do it find somebody without a trailer i said okay I found one that just dropped a trailer asked if he could pull my trailer out I'm finished unloading he asked if I had the paperwork I told him that the office called me said to wait for yard driver to pull trailer out hook up and then come inside for paperwork yard dog said you can go ahead and hook up and pull it out that way it's on me not him if something goes bad and that he won't tell anybody if i do it I said okay hooked up and got paperwork and left everything else was perfect had no other issues could had been the best unload from a Walmart DC ever but that one little snafu is the only reason it's a 4 star...
Read moreThis is a difficult place to get into as a truck driver. If you have not been here before there is no way to know you have to turn right as you get off of highway. Staff at the gaurd gate were very friendly and treated me professionally and respectfully unlike other walmart distribution centers. The staff inside the warehouse unfortunatly were not as helpful. They were very rude to a foriegnor because he didnt speak good english. After the customer left desk clerk complained about customer to other employee. Staff tried to ignore me once i approached open recieving window and when i asked about what was going on he acted as if i interupted him from whatever he was going on the computer. When i came back for my signed b.o.l he was quick to hand me them in a unperfessional manner, when questioned about if the b.o.l was clean with no issues his unprofessional and in a very rude tone stated " does it say that on the bills or...
