Earl Warren RV Park — Local services in Santa Barbara

This review is for the Earl Warren RV Park at the Showgrounds. My daughter was having orientation at UCSB and we had the choice to camp or get a hotel. It was much cheaper for us to camp and we found this location on google.

It is just a parking lot, but has full hook up sites. You book your site online, we did it there from the parking lot after we looked at the sites and which ones were available online and booked right then and there - no issues. There is no host, but you can talk to maintenance if you need anything or if there is an emergency their number is listed. Also once you book and receive your confirmation you will be provided with the Wi-Fi user and password as well as the combination for the showers. We did not use, so I can't provide further information on the showers there.

We did have our two dogs with us and there is a dog run, not fenced and grass areas. It is also close to State Street in Santa Barbara and shopping. I wouldn’t mind staying here again for a short stay to see our daughter or overnight when passing though. The price is not bad...

My family and I came to park here not knowing it was a private parking lot. We stopped for maybe 2 minutes (mind you a completely empty parking lot) and a lady came out. As my family was going to use the restroom in our trailer she asked rudely "can I help you guys" and we said "we're using our restroom in our trailer". Again in a rude tone she said to us "so you're stopped here to use your restroom" and we said "yes we are" meanwhile she starts to spew nonsense about how we have to pay to Park here. Which yes that's fine if we have to pay we just didn't know. However she started saying it's 30 dollars per vehicle for "part of the day". We had 2 vehicles and we were only there to see my great grandma for an hour. So how does the price not change when we told her we only needed to stay an hour. We arrived around 8:30pm and have a problem with reaching the electricity cable on our RV right when we get there. I gave them a call on the number listed on the website and as soon as she reached, the woman in the phone was SOOO rude. We just would like to check if by any chance we could move our spot to another one and asking for their permission, since there were a lot of empty spots in the parking lot. She was really rude in the phone, she was huffing and puffing in the phone saying that it was our problem and the description was in the website (which it wasn't). After showing that she was very impatience and unwilling help, she moved us to another spot.
