This place is some kind of joke. I am actually furious right now. You call and call and call but they never answer. You go in, they always make you wait even if they're not busy. Their drivers are so lazy. They won't pick up my compost because it's overloaded supposedly whereas everyone else on the street is also yet their cans get picked up. But they didn't even bother to tell me they weren't going to pick it up until a full week later so this compost sat on the curb for two weeks before they even bothered to leave a notice that they weren't going to pick it up. This is not the first time that they haven't picked up my compost either, by the way, and it was not overloaded the first time. There was actually nothing wrong with it the first time at all. And yet I still had to go and waste my time to ask these people why my garbage wasn't picked up. I have to come waste my time because nobody wants to do their job right the first time. If you are not going to pick it up because it's unsafe or you're lazy or whatever you claim is the reason you're not picking it up, then you should have told me that the first week the garbage sat on the curb, not the second. Meanwhile, I'm now over a week behind on the yard work I need done by the time fire season comes back around. Rude, lazy, terrible customer service. Read moreI called for a large pick up. They scheduled me and then didn’t show. I had to call again. They wanted to know the number of things I was putting out, not thinking much of it. I told them approximately how much of each item. Even called back when we added a small table top. Customer service said I had too many items and it would have to count as my 2 pickups for the year. I said that was fine.
They finally came to pick up and parked across the street.. I don’t see a reason for that.. my street and curb were wide open and they carried away 80% of it and left the rest.
I called again and they will be back in a month to collect the rest. They have been such a nightmare to work with for large pick up. We even made sure everything was under 6 feet as requested.
I have my before and after pics and pic of them walking across the street. Like why??
Update: They have called me again and said they can’t pick up the pvc pipe and to discuss further exactly how much wood is there even though I have spoken to them 3-4 times about what is set out for them to pick up.
Dec 2024 Update I had another large pickup that was so much better than last year. I am updating my review. I called in once, they sent a confirmation email and picked everything up as scheduled. Easy!!! So much better...
Read moreI have never been this angry with a company in my life. Every avenue I took with this company they have failed me. Bulk item pick up ordered 3 months ago. They told me the date to have my items on the street. They never picked them up. So I called back, they never had record of my first date appt. Scheduled another pick up date. It was three weeks out for that appointment. Moved my single mattress and microwave back into my driveway. Both of which now were saturated with rain water. And pulled them out back onto the street for pick up on December 21, never was picked up. Called yesterday waited on hold for an hour to talk to a person. That person told me that it would be picked up yesterday. I was hosting a Christmas party in the evening and I made them promise. Still there today. So called again. Ofcourse I can’t reach anyone today. Can’t even log in on the website because it is saying that I am not the person I am. I have spent too many hours wasted for no results. The worst part about it is this company is a monopoly so what other options do you have for trash pickup? Recology needs to pay their employees better and hire more of them.
