Absolutely the shadiest business around. Straight up lied about my machine. I called and called, left messages, went to the shop and finally get "We'll get it back to you, we can't fix it" After that nothing. Back to calling and being lied to and given the run around. The finally tell me that they PROBABLY threw it away because I didn't pick it up. They have so much stuff there you can barely walk around and an entire store room full of abandoned stuff but my machine was the only one thrown out. It was a $700 Laseractive player. Read moreIn November 2017, I took my vintage SAE Mark IV DM power amplifier to IST to check a low-level hum in both channels. The technician called the next day to explain the diagnostic results, and recommend replacing a number of electrolytic capacitors. IST performed the repair and the unit was returned with no sign of hum. They also replaced the meter lamps with LEDs, so the unit runs cooler. All done for under $200. My 43-year-old amplifier is back in service, working perfectly.
