Main Street Theatre — Local services in Sauk Centre

I didn't expect much from a small-town movie theater, but this wasn't my favorite experience. My partner and I decided to go see a movie and this was our first time going to this theater. Right when we walked in, we noticed that there was a strong pungent smell all throughout the theater. Since the bathrooms are near the entrance, I just thought it was a gross bathroom smell, maybe from lack of cleaning the bathrooms, but whatever the smell was, it wafted throughout the entire theater. It was gross.

UPDATE/EDIT/RESPONSE TO OWNER: Regarding the bathrooms, I did use them before the show and they did have a strong odor, so that is why I suspect and attribute the strong pungent smell to the bathrooms. Maybe they just weren't cleaned that day?

During the movie, my partner went out to get some snacks and felt that the staff behind the counter were a little rude to him. When he came out all they did was stare at him and they didn't help him or acknowledge him until he called out to one of them. It was weird.

UPDATE/EDIT/RESPONSE TO OWNER: Regarding the staff, they were not stocking shelves or cleaning, they were huddled up in a corner talking by the soda machine - it seemed like they were gossiping and they stopped when my partner came out of the theater and stared at him. Our family always enjoys visiting this small-town theater that is always staff with friendly people! We greatly appreciate that it is locally-owned by a Sauk Centre family. The concessions are very reasonable in price and they have a great selection of food. The bathrooms are very clean and everything is always neat and orderly throughout the theater. The only theatre I go to. Clean, good prices, nice selection of snacks and comfortable seating. Good selection of movies as well. The theatre has made significant investments in the past few years including reclining seats.
