First and foremost, there are a few things that could be better, but they are minor in comparison to the positives.
We have been to this rv location many many times and have always had great service, however, this time it was exceptional. Let me explain: we had expected to stay only 1 night as a layover for the rest of journey home but it didnât work out that way. We got to our site easy and nice, got set up, and my husband took our dogs for a short walk. He came back to the coach and passed out at the door outside. I rushed him to the hospital and they checked him in and said there was an issue with his heart. I stayed at the hospital from 4:30-7:30 and was going to rush back to let our dogs out. I saw the office was opened and rushed in to tell them we couldnât leave in the morning. I was stressed, emotional, in a hurry to get dogs out and get back to the hospital. Kaylee (sp) said donât worry she would work things out. I told her I couldnât move the 45 ft coach but I could help someone if they needed to move us. She said let me just see what I can do first.
To say the least she not only allowed us to stay where we were, she had someone come over to help me with a leak at the water at our faucet (I couldnât get the hose undone from a water purifier tank that was connected). I went back to the hospital feeling better I had a spot to stay in. The next day the drs told us they couldnât release my husband till they did a complete work up on the heart. To make a long story a bit shorter, it was determined he needed a quadruple bypass. This in itself is stressful, but now knowing the staff at the rv resort were going to take care of us being able to stay was a stress reliever. We had to extend our stay several times per the drs and even on thier busiest weekend (st pats.) the resort made it work.
A couple people staying at the park were so special. One man and his wife were walking and we got into a brief conversation about a leak I was having and didnât know if it was from the hail. He got my ladder, climbed up on the roof and checked everything out to make sure it wasnât a hole or crack. The neighbors across the way checked on us everyday when I was walking the dogs to offer help and ask about my husband. Terry and Martha were such great neighbors.
I am wring this as we are getting ready to leave in a couple days. I mentioned a couple minor issues. WiFi as others have said is very weak. Weeds seem to be the main grass, but it was cut short and Iâm not sure how in a place like this you would have anything else with dogs doing their business. So minor inconveniences.
The best is the service, how clean the park is kept (trash constantly collected and picked up), the people that are on staff, etc. The gentleman that helped with the hose came back several times to see if we needed anything and to check on my husband. I had a previous rating that was done a couple years ago that I had forgotten I had written that I deleted to post this one. Things have changed since then and they have changed for the better. Someone mentioned to us that there is a new tv park near by, and they couldnât even finish telling us about it when we said âwe are loyal to this place now and will be here twice a year still.â
Thank you CreekFire for all your support, empathy, and compassion to me and to my husband and dogs. Look forward to...
Read moreOur family first fell in love with CreekFire in May of 2021. It was our first time camping at CreekFire. It was a brand new campground that was slowly coming together. It was a campers dream come true with all the amenities (lazy river being our favorite), security and enforcement of rules. We knew we wanted to come back. Well we did in July of 2024. I write this review with a broken heart. This campground is unfortunately not the same anymore. I donât know whether it was the change over to Cove Communities, COVID, or just people not caring anymore. We first got greeted in the welcome building with a flyer that was handed to us by the woman checking us in. That flyer was from the Savannah Police Department letting campers know that the campground has had ongoing issues of people breaking into campsites and stealing personal property. Our mouths dropped open. The excuse for this ongoing issue: âbeing so close to the highway (i-95).â Little did we know- the gates that CreekFire had to enter both sides of the campground were not working. The entire time we were there- not one sole worked on them nor did they have security man the entrances to check IDâs or verify that people were actually staying there. With that campground being fenced and the gates being disabled, the least CreekFire could have done was hire security to ensure these unwanted criminals would not enter the campground. I wonder how long those gates were not working and whether they are still disabled. Moving on to other issues⌠There are strict pool rules- one being time of opening and closing. Well I guess we live in a time where people are just in it for themselves and are complete savages. My husband was walking our dogs one morning by the pool area. It was shortly after 8 AM. He witnessed a father lift his daughter over the gated pool area and reserve seats for their family. The pool area doesnât open till 10 AM. When they saw my husband looking, the daughter crouched on the ground to not be seen. My husband went to the main office to report this. They told him they would address it. Well, they didnât. Once again- enforcement of rules went down the drain. This is what adults are teaching their kids. Along with that, people are now (I guess) allowed to bring dogs to the pool/bar area. Poor dogs and the heat radiating off the ground must have burned their paws.We miss the 2021 CreekFire RV Resort that we remembered it to be. I can go on with my review but Google Reviews put...
Read moreWe were so excited to stay for our first time in this rv resort park near savannah, but when we came in on a weekend, it was like walking into a college party of all ages. People at the pool were so drunk, glass beer bottles and opened beer cans everywhere, vapes and cigarettes inside the pool area, cases of beer sitting on tables and by the pool, kids of all ages in the hot tubs with no adult supervision and the pool furniture is so badly stained and ripped you have no were to sit. The weed smell was so bad that we had to move to the kiddie splashpool to avoid it and ended up going back to our camper until the partying stopped later that night. We even saw under age drinking by kids taking beers out of, we guess, parents' open beer pack cases by the main pool. We have been to a lot of campgrounds but have never seen a free for all in a park like this. The park it self, is really nice and has a lot to offer as for pools, bathrooms, sites and clean. As the weekend ends, the partying slows down, but the pools and hot tubs are just babysitters for adults who don't want to deal with their kids or grandkids. The park rule signs all over the place and pool area state that 'kids need to have adult supervision' is a joke. NO, we don't want to be at a place with pool patrol all the time, but NO one from this resort is doing anything to stop the out of control chaos. If you want a nice place to relax, maybe only go here on weekdays or avoid it all together ! We were here for a week and have not talked to one employee other than at check-in, but the employees you see walking around look like they hate their job and look away from the customers. Maybe if I had to feel like I was working at a college party with drunks and their unsupervised kids, I would not be happy either. Last, yes they have hot tubs here, but unless you're 15 or under you can't get into them because they are full of kids from 4 to 15 with lazy river tube's stack up in the hot tubs. It is scary to see all this going on at such a nice place and scary that someone's kids and/or adult could get seriously hurt in such an out of control place, again mainly on weekends. I think this place is a corporate owned resort that really needs to get in there and get the place under control or deal with a possible bad situation if...
