Walter Green Commons — Local services in Saybrook

As far as Wal-Marts go it's a decent location. Like all their other locations they try to force you to check yourself out by only keeping a few lanes open with actual employees. While staff stand around " monitoring" self check out areas. I do not agree with this concept at any store. As if the rising costs of everything isn't bad enough now you want us to scan bag and check ourselves out? If you want to push this perhaps you should take a percentage off the bill for using self checkout and doing the stores work for them. Also the online shopping option while great for those that can't get to the store seems to have created an unnecessary obstacle for those of us actually in the store. Frequently you come in contact with the store employees with the large blue carts shopping for online orders who make no attempt to use common sense and not block isles of the customers in the store. I r also noticed over the last few years that the stockers who used to stock shelves at night during less busy times now seem to do this during day shift when the store is busy and don't care that they have large pallets blocking off sections isles you name it. I'm sure this is some corporate push at cutting overhead costs which further supports the notion that customer service is not a priority. Which is sadly true for most companies now a days. That being said I'd still rather drive to Madison then deal with Ashtabula's constant empty shelf's and poor customer service...

Well I'll tell you Hwhatt! I done put on my good knickers an my walkin shoes an even took me a dip n the tub so's I could mosey on over ta the Walmart n pay my dear ol friend Walter Green a visit! Ain't seen that boy since we took the hounds out ta catch us some dem Canadian ducks down er at the crick! Reckon that be about 12 years ago now! So's I was bunches excited to see my ol pal and I even packed em some dem mustard sardines the ol lady made fer supper last week! Lawd knoes das his favorite snack! So's I gets down er an I gets ta looking ever which way, but ain't no sight of ol Walter anywhere!

I visited the Tobacco and Wine store when i found out that they also cash payroll checks. I do not have a local bank and needed a payroll check cashed and as an alternative to a bank i found them very helpful. Walmart wouldnt cash it and i needed cash to pick up materials for a job.
