I've never once had a good experience here and mostly avoid this commissary when I can, unless I really need something. and today was one of those days and I finally feel fed up enough to complain, only because I've never felt so unwelcome in a store before, especially on base.
they were not busy, whatsoever to put into context. I decided to go through self checkout since there was literally no line. the first check out lane said I needed assistance right after scanning my card, I waited for a minute and looked around, couldn't tell who worked there since no one was wearing anything that represented a work uniform. so I just moved to the next check out lane. I realized the first message popped up on the screen saying "card only. no cash" which was fine, I was paying with card.
by the end of me checking out I asked for cash back (not thinking about how if it only takes card, it probably wouldn't give me cash back) so my mistake. I looked up again to see if anyone could help, again, there is a hispanic woman standing there in a purple shirt (she was there before but thought she was a customer previously) she was just standing there looking at her nails and I finally caught eye contact with her, only then I realized she was an employee. she walked over to me and I told her I asked for cash back not thinking about it and apologized for the mistake. she immediately copped an attitude and said "if you remember the message that popped up before you started, it told you no cash at this register." I again, l politely said "yes i apologize, I thought it meant I only had to pay with card and didn't realize it said no cash back as well" with which she replied very rudely "well now you will just have to wait"
okay, fine with me, I'm in no hurry. she goes to the cash office and comes back and proceeds to stand at the self check out area, literally not even busy.
I usually don't like to leave bad reviews but this was just extreme poor and rude customer service. I could understand if she was busy, and I know sometimes people get overwhelmed and have bad days. but I will literally never shop here again, regardless of...
Read moreThis week, a tiny sign on a tiny refrigerator case in the produce section alerted me to the fact that this store is "transitioning" vendors and some products might not be available. I appreciate the heads up, however, this was not a tiny event as some refrigerated cases and shelves were so bare I could take a nap in the vacant space. Would you please be more specific at the front door of the commissary, not 10 minutes in, and I'll know to shop elsewhere. Minimizing the truth is the same as lying, and I don't appreciate the insult to my intelligenge and the waste of my limited time. In addition, the baggers were so agressive and rude I'm questioning the need for stateside commissaries as currently administered by a DECA staff who are not qualified to shop in the stores they are responsible for. I'm sure it makes sense to someone, but I'm looking elsewhere to stretch my...
Read moreMe and my family were just yelled at by one of the managers named (I believe her name may have been Elena) about a mispriced product. The cashier was very friendly, but the manager came out yelling loudly and repetitively that we will pay the "full price" for the product. She was immediately rude, my wife and I were embarrassed because the price of the product was not even a big deal to us. We even told the cashier she could remove the items before management was involved, yet we were approached like we were trying to take advantage of the commissary. The cashier was very sweet about the altercation, but i could tell by her demeanor that she likely endures a lot of disrespect from management. That manager either needs some extensive customer service training, or she...
